The Beauregard is a charming Victorian home in historic Ferndale, the Victorian village in Humboldt county, California. This lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath home, built in 1893, is immaculate and comfortably furnished with antiques and reproductions and period-inspired, ceiling to floor window coverings. There is free private off-street parking for 2 cars in front of the house. Also outside: a lovely camellia and rose garden in the front; backyard with patio, table, 4 chairs with umbrella, built-in grill, water fountain and landscaped lawns with flowers and other varied foliage. Inside: our guest first encounters the beautifully furnished and cozy living /sitting room, which has hardwood floors with rugs, gas fireplace, a coffee table with the Beauregard guest book, sofas with soft pillows and throws, walk in closet and Roku TV. There are 2 bedrooms; one has a queen bed and Roku TV, walk in closet, and a video library of Hollywood movies that were filmed in Ferndale. The second bedroom has a double bed and walk in closet. Both beds are made up with cotton sateen sheets, and both bedrooms have 2 side tables with stained glass lamps and windows with beautiful window coverings. The bathroom has a tub/shower with sliding mirrored doors for privacy, and features fluffy white towels, body wash, Nexxus hair products and an ionic hair dryer. Provided on the bathroom counters are make-up remover, body lotion. The mirrored medicine cabinet holds first aid supplies. The kitchen has original painted antique cabinets which are filled with everything you need to cook cozy meals, including basic spices, cooking spray, and wine and champagne glasses. There is also a Keurig "K-cafe" machine, which allows guests to make regular coffee or experiment making their own lattes or cappuccinos. A variety of black and herbal teas and coffee pods, almond and soy milks, sugar, splenda and non-dairy creamer are also provided. Inside the refrigerator our guests will find reduced fat milk for the coffees and teas, and refreshing fruit-essenced sparking waters and Crystal Geyser mineral water. The dining area is off the kitchen and next to windows with a lovely view of the side yard foliage, including junipers, ferns and a large Japanese maple. A laundry room is in the back of the house, has a washer and dryer and laundry products, and also a wall of windows, which during spring, summer and fall can heat the entire house. High speed wireless internet is free.
