Welcome to The Rustic Retreat at Rocky Acres (formerly known as The homestead at hippie holler)! Please take some time to read the listing in it's entirety so that you are aware of our offerings, location, and what to expect when staying with us!
We offer cabins, tiny homes, and creek side camping on our 143 acre property. The cabin is listed for an occupancy of 4. To clarify, this is best suited for 2 adults and 2 children (12 or under), or 3 adults. It is NOT ideal for 4 adults. There is a queen bed in the loft, a twin sofa sleeper, and a twin floor mattress upon request. The cabin is about 50 yards from the main house where the owners reside, but still very private. You will not be disturbed by the owners.
Please make sure your reservation reflects the accurate number of people staying. This cozy cabin (guest house) is nestled in a sweet little area we call Rocky Acres. The views overlooking the valley are awesome from the front porch. There is an in-ground fire pit and cut-through field/trail in the backyard of the cabin leading to another field and creek. You are 15 minutes to town ... 20 minutes to the Historic District. You will be close enough for convenience and tourist activities, but far enough for peace and quiet in a beautiful surrounding when you want it! To get to the cabin you will travel approximately 1 mile down a county dirt road.
Linens are provided and the kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, towels, pots, pans and dishes. Coffee is NOT typically provided. There will be an initial amount of paper products at the house to get you started (TP and paper towels), but guests should plan to brings their own for longer stays. We also offer a charcoal grill and bbq utensils (guests can bring their own firewood, charcoal and fluid or can purchase through our on-site store). There is AC and ceiling fans to keep you cool in the warmer weather and a heater for cooler weather.
Resort Amenities: There is a shared swimming pool, hot tub, and event space/barn (The Vue at Rocky Acres) on the property (see pictures). It’s right next door to the cabin. Inquire within for private bookings and more details. Pool is open May-October, hot tub is open all year.
-Book a sunset poolside picnic and/or wine tasting or other event, starting at $40 per person (inquire within).
PETS: Please inform us at the time of booking if you intend to bring a pet. A $50 “per stay” fee is applied, with a maximum of 1 pet. The maximum allowable pet weight is 70 pounds. You MUST clean up after your pet. That includes properly disposing of all waste material. You must also maintain control of your pet at all times, and pets must never be left unattended. Pets are not allowed on furniture/beds and must be kenneled or leashed at night. Any complaints from other guest or management, regarding excessive noise or other nuisances may be cause for immediate termination of the use agreement and forfeiture of the guest’s remaining nights. The pet fee does not cover any damage by the pet. If soiling or damage to the cottage occurs, fees will be charged accordingly. Undeclared pets are subject to a $200 penalty fee.
Please inquire about our other rentals on the property for a larger family reunion or getaway. We can accommodate up to 12-14 people between all of our rentals. You can find us on social media at The Homestead at Rocky Acres.
If you'd like us to put together an organic custom snack basket (wine, cheeses, crackers, nuts, etc.) we will happily do that upon request (requires at least 72 hour notice). There are also in-room menu items available for purchase.

As for local recommendations of things to do, the Passion Play has walking/hiking trails, there are lots of Caverns to explore, the Terpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is fun to see the exotic "big cats", The Kings River is great for floating/kayaking or just getting wet on a hot day, Beaver Lake Dam Site Park and Starkey Marina are also great for swimming or renting a pontoon boat. Turtle Ridge is a cute little amusement park close by us, and the town of Berryville has an old school downtown square that is great to visit the local shops and restaurants when you want a bit more low key scene than the crowded streets of Eureka Springs! :) Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is about 45 minutes. Branson, MO is also a fun packed tourist town to visit, it's about an hour away.
