Páteo dos Oliveira - Casa dos Serviçais

Family's property since 1899. It is fully restored and distributed over 2 floors. The kitchen is on the ground floor and the bathroom, the bedroom and the living room are on the first floor. The 2 floors are connected by stairs.
The bedroom, with 18 m2, has a queen size bed .
Our house is equipped with: cable tv, Wi-Fi, fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, hand blender, electric stove top, vacuum cleaner, air conditioning, fan and heater, iron and ironing board, washing machine, hairdryer and a boiler with 100 liters capacity
We will change your towels 2 times per week and the sheets 1 time per week.
This unit is located in the historical centre of the city, inside the city's walls, 400 meters from the Roman Temple, the Cathedral and the Municipal Museum and 600 meters from the Chapel of Bones.
Évora is also an excelent place to settle a base and visit the surrounding beautiful cities such as Monsaraz, Estremoz, Elvas, Vila Viçosa, Arraiolos (average distance: 50 km).

Hidden Gem in Evora
We flew into Lisbon and were looking for a quiet place to spend our first few nights getting over jet lag and we found the perfect retreat at Pateo dos Oliveira, in Evora. The bed was so comfortable that we slept 12 hours the first night. The air conditioning is new and works well. The area was very quiet. The apartment is newly renovated and very modern but the owners kept important artifacts from the ancient home to add architectural interest, like exposed arches and vaulted ceilings. Antonia and Luis were more than great hosts who spoke English, they were lovely friends who told us about all of the best places to visit in Evora and the surrounding area. Getting to meet Antonia, Luis and their sweet, smart son, Santiago, was a wonderful experience and made our trip so much richer than just being tourists. Don’t miss this hidden gem in Evora!

Fantastic property and hosts.
The property is very clean and well maintained. Location is great, inside the walled city and within a few hundred yards of all the cities best features. Luis and Antonia are the owners, they greeted us upon arrival to explain the walled city and surrounding area. They also gave us a gift, a bottle of wine and some local cheese. They have it together, a class operation.

Wonderful Evora experience
Luís and Antonia could not have been nicer or more helpful! When our GPS sent us the wrong way and we couldn’t find the parking lot, Luís talked us to the right place and carried our bags to the apartment! The apartment was comfortable, nicely situated to explore Evora, and Luis and Antonia gave us a great orientation to the city with great recommendations. (I’m just sorry we missed some of those restaurants). When we couldn’t quite figure out the washing machine, he came right over to get it straightened out. By the time we left, I truly felt we had made new friends. This is a wonderful spot to explore Evora. Thank you, Luís and Antonia

My partner and I loved this place! The owners met us when we first arrived and made us feel immediately welcome. They provided us a handy list of things to do and places to see while we were there. Our first night stay was peaceful and quiet. Having this charming place to come home to after our sightseeing made the whole experience even better. Also, there's a small grocery store nearby with all you need to cook a nice meal in the kitchen, if you want. We ate in a few times in the downstairs section and had a friend over as well. We highly recommend this place.

Perfectly located little house that was great for two! Easily walking to all the places we wanted to see and restaurants. A few little grocery stores nearby. Our hosts were very helpful, especially as we were there over Sunday/Monday when many restaurants are closed. They gave some great suggestions.

Staying and meeting Luis and Antonia was an absolute and memorable experience. They both carved out a time to meet with me, sharing points of interest, asking me what I liked and recommending restaurants, bakeries based on what I had expressed. The property was perfect, very well located in the city. The hosts were very nice, having prepared a map of things to see which we really appreciated and they gave us a bottle of wine of the region, cheese and bread. Great location from which to explore Evora
Luis and Antonio both met and gave us a very friendly welcome when we arrived at the property which was very straightforward to find. The food and wine was very thoughtful and they went to great lengths to make sure our stay went smoothly which was much appreciated. They provided us with phone numbers for the nicest restaurants and encouraged us to book which was a great tip as Evora is a popular place! Catching the train to Evora from Lisbon was very straightforward. There were taxis available on arrival but we walked. The Cathedral was stunning. Thankyou for a great stay.

Five Wonderful Days
Thank you, Luis and Antónia for your warm welcome and exceptional hospitality. I’m sure I would have enjoyed my time in Évora had I stayed elsewhere but you made my time especially enjoyable. I recommend this property unreservedly. It’s beautifully and tastefully renovated and in a great location for all the local sights, with a small but well stocked supermarket with very helpful staff just 80 metres away.

Amazing Space & Location!
Easy to access and clean! Had a wonderful time with the best recommendations from our host. Air Conditioning in the main bedroom was the cherry on top for us during the heatwave of summer. Slept like babies! Located close to an exterior parking area (10 min walk), we rolled our bags in and also had an easy walking route to all the tourist sites. Luis & his wife we’re welcoming and so helpful in the many questions we had about the city! They even provided a map and list of top places to visit and restaurants. 10/10 would recommend to all friends and family.

CLEAN, QUIET, LARGE COMFORTABLE APARTMENT on 2 levels. Has AC in bdrm but did not need to use as weather cools in the evenings. Full functioning kitchen. Easy to explore the town from this location. Gracious and helpful hosts -by far the best experience in our Portugal trip. Highly recommend.

Modern comforts in a charming ancient city
The accommodations were wonderful. Made us feel like we were at home. The location is perfect within in the city walls and near all the important sites. The photos accurately reflect the home. Luis and Antonia provided a wealth of information on check in as well as wine, bread and cheese. What more do you need? They went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel welcome. The property is in the historic town of Evora. Perfect location. We booked three nights and were able to extend to five. I loved the town, the apartment and the hosts. Luis and Antonia met us at the apartment for check in. They made us a list of sites to see and cafes and restaurants. All were great. If you can do a tour and lunch with them do it. We loved it. The apartment was 10/10 on a cleanliness scale and the bed was SO comfortable!

The best Portuguese experience you will ever have.
Luis and Antonia have gone to every effort to provide or offer a Portuguese experience. The apartment is wonderful. It reclaims Portuguese architecture. Their hospitality is out standing. We took advantage of two trips that they offer and we learned so much about their culture. One of our interests is other cultures. They offered a personalized list of sites and restaurants in Evora, very helpful. We plan to return.
