Is this place quirky or merely odd? Is it homey or cluttered? Is it an Alaska 6 or a stateside 4? I don't know. The lady is very nice in an overworked, slightly frantic sort of way. I am pretty certain that the guy who came into the breakfast room in his bare feet is the one leaving all the 10/10 reviews. It is dated, needs some basic maintenance and thoughtful modernizing. (For example the extended stay had no place to hang a used towel and the toilet flushed with enough force to sweep away an unwary child.) It's almost as if the people who run it have never actually seen a hotel in real life.

I appreciate the owner and staff. Our studio was in another lot and she was wiling to give us a ride to our stay. She provided us with resources to get around Fairbanks. Our studio was big, had pots pans, plates utensils and it was perfect for our 7 day stay. Generous owners and staff were as nice and kind.

Nice hotel
Our Family of four stayed three nights in a suite in early June. The outside looks somewhat old. But the rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were super nice and friendly. The breakfast was impressive. Many attractions are nearby.

The “suite” was roomy. Things were not up to date—facets in bathroom and kitchen need to be replaced. Refrigerator needs to be replaced—nothing could be put on the door as the plastic retainers were all broken. You have to be able to climb stairs (which wasn’t a problem for us). There was a flight of stairs to the office, to our unit, and to the breakfast area. The free breakfast was good.
