Studio Guest Suite in Tranquil Birch Forest

About this space
We have been hosting artists, friends and family in our studio guest suite for over 25 years. Just 10 minutes from downtown, nestled in a birch forest. This clean, cozy and private suite sits above our separate Howling Bear Studio, a multimedia facility in operation since 1987. Closs to serene nature hikes and world class cross country skiing. Recently remodeled bathroom and kitchenette, comfortable full size bed in bedroom on main floor, and a sleeping loft above, with king bed.
The space
This quaint guest space above Howling Bear Studio is accessible only by stairs and is not wheelchair-friendly. The suite is in a great location to view Northern Lights that often play directly above the property.
The double bed is in the bedroom on the main floor.
The king size mattress is on the floor of the loft. Users should be physically able to safely climb and descend a ladder to access the loft.
Guest access
It’s ALL yours! Main floor has kitchenette, bathroom, living room, and a bedroom with full bed and a dresser. Loft is a very sweet place to sleep if you can safely use the ladder like access (see photos). Covered porch is only for your use. Smoke what you like out there, but we are adamant about NO smoking inside. There is no access to studio below.
Other things to note
The studio suite is not a shared space, you will have it all to yourself. we currently do not have a WiFi service, but you may find you have good reception on your phone. The best months for Northern Lights viewing on the property are the last week of August thru March. Note that here IS a pellet stove, but it is disconnected and ONLY used as a backup to theToyo heater in extremely cold temperatures and not available for guests.
