Mountain Log Cabin-Hot Tub-Fire Pit-23 mins to downtown AVL

Jack's Retreat - completed Feb 2018! Our cabin provides a peaceful, private getaway in the mountains, but is still only a 23 minute drive to downtown Asheville. It offers 3 bedrooms (master on the main floor and 2 bedrooms on the lower level).

The master bedroom has a king bed and the en-suite bathroom has a glass shower with a pebble-floor. And a big rain shower-head. The downstairs bedrooms both have one queen bed and share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with a tiled tub/shower.

The cabin faces south, so sunshine is abundant on sunny days and sunrises/sunsets can be viewed from the rockers and swing on the decks.

The hot tub is accessible from the lower level deck - it sits out in the open; you can enjoy a nightly soak under the stars or savor the mountain views during the day.

We named this cabin after our son, Jack, born 2014. He played a big part in the building process.

With all modern amenities, one won't need to leave the cabin, but the surrounding area has so much to offer to the adventurous at heart. Conveniently located 23 minutes to downtown Asheville (Merrimon Avenue exit off I-240), 18 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 24 minutes to Biltmore Estate, 20 minutes to Black Mountain, 32 minutes to Chimney Rock/Lake Lure and 40 minutes to Hendersonville, this quiet getaway is still close to all the attractions and activities.

Fantastic property, great time had by all! We were a party of 5 celebrating our 50th and the location and size of house was perfect for us and exploring Asheville! Loved the sweet welcome gift and overall experience booking, very easy. Hihgly recommend for families or friends looking for a quick getaway! My only recommendation would be more towels if you are a larger party although there is a washer and dryer if needed. Thanks for a great stay!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. They had literally everything you could think of or need! The first time up the driveway gave me chills so definitely make your first trip up in daylight if you aren’t used to the mountain roads but they have done a fabulous job. We so enjoyed our family’s stay at this cabin, and Lisa was a fantastic host. The cabin is incredibly clean and well-stocked, and the porch views are beautiful. We had three children under four and everyone fit with room to spare. The kids loved the extra little playroom. One thing to note if you have small kids: the yard is VERY steep coming off the firepit, so I was a little anxious roasting s’mores. We enjoyed many of Lisa’s recommendations, including Chimney Rock (hiked to the waterfall and spent time in town where the kids hopped the creek rocks and we grabbed a bear at the brewery); walking the river district in downtown Asheville and White Duck Tacos; visiting the apple orchard at Justus Farms; Sierra Nevada Brewing and Highlands Brewing for live music. The hot tub was refreshing at night to unwind. It was a great long weekend!
