I rate the property at an F minus. I paid for a king suite oceanfront doe my 56 birthday and was told that was not an option when I checked in. I requested wash cloths on 3 occations and that should have bewn apart of my service. The food to say was not whT I expected, tye curry goat and curry chicken was not authentic and tastes horrible. With that said it was the worst birthday celebration that I ever had given my age and money spent.

The RIU palace property is beautiful, the area inside the property is clean and maintained. I was a little upset because I contacted the property 1 month in advance regarding king size beds. I had a party of 6 adults (couples), I only got One king bed the rest were double beds. We arrived early and check in isn’t until 3. They checked in our bags and let us have use of their facilities. You must reserve the restaurants. You can’t reserve until you get your room numbers. Even though all the rooms were booked under one name each room had to book for themselves. Meaning one person can’t book for he whole party. Each room has to reserve for themselves. And in our case since we didn’t have our rooms yet it proved difficult to make reservations for our arrival day. The buffet diner has delicious food. It doesn’t require reservations. There are 3 pools, they do have entertainment. The beach area is clean; however wear swim shoes there are lots of rocks where you are allowed to swim. The area that you are allowed to swim is limited. The beach chairs and umbrellas are already set up for use. Transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel uses different transportation people. Ours was destination tours. You are sent forms from the hotel. They are very particular about the time frame. Needless to say if don’t book directly through RIU they use other transportation. Our transportation was Destination tours. Needless to say the transportation was a nightmare from arrival to return.

I’m giving this Resort a 10/10. I booked it for my birthday trip and it was one of the best birthdays ever! The staff were so amazing and super helpful the food selection was wide but very “Americanized” But other than that, I had so much fun and I’m sure others will enjoy it too.

We enjoyed our stay. Getting reservations for dinner was difficult even though we reserved when we checked in we still were not able to dine 1 night because the restaurant was full. With the hotel being so far from the Clubs, it might be worth considering including a Night club on property.

I love that this a a newer property. The beach and views are gorgeous. The beach is extremely rocky directly in front of the hotel. Its kid friendly but not accomdating to the parents. The kids club is only open for a few hours per day and thats at their discretion. Not much for children to actually do or to entertain them. The waterpark is there nothng outside of that. The food was good lots of options.

Property was nice and clean, staff was awesome. The only issue I had was my shower not draining properly, but that was fixed in a matter of minutes. Room service is on the slow side so if you are in a rush I do not recommend using it. The food was really good, I enjoyed the variety. The drinks were good too!
