Hopefully this was a fluke evening
We have stayed at this hotel many times but this one was terrible. Hopefully it was a fluke but there was a couple arguing in the hallway, for a long time (about 11:00 p.m), then there were children making all kinds of racket, bouncing on beds, running around, etc (about 1230 a.m), for at least an hour. The staff did nothing about either of these. To top off, in the morning we found a roach in our room.

The room stunk and had a bad mold smell. There was a hair in the sink, pillow covers stained, comforter stained and there were numerous wall patches. The tv was horrible. I was leary about a Motel 8 but he ratings I read were good. However, it did not match our experience. Next time I will pay the higher price to stay elsewhere.

The room was fine but the staff was rude. Nowhere did it say that people visiting us couldn't use the pool, so when we found out after my dad had come to visit us and swim with us, he was more of less kicked out. Not only that, but the staff pushed past me and my sister during breakfast. The phone in the room doesn't work and the man at the front desk was rude when I called to ask for extra toilet paper because we were out. The AC unit works great but the heat setting smells like a fire is about to start. The parking lot is incredibly cramped, and the gravy in the crock pot looks like it's never stirred. I was going to bring my service dog until I found out I'd have to pay the pet fee despite her not being a pet. Honestly I wish I could give it zero stars. Stay at the hotel across the street if I'm honest.

The woman at the check in was really nice. The room was mostly clean, hair in the tub ; a big glob in the drain. There was large patches of spackle on the walls. The bed was comfortable and clean. Overall good hotel. Would recommend staying here and would stay again

The property is showing it's age a little, but that is reflected in the low price. Aged or not, the staff was courteous and friendly, and the property was very clean. I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a little dated. The lobby looks shabby. The room was clean and the bed comfortable with choices in pillows. Good water pressure and the hot water came up quickly. Couldn’t hear anyone in another room. The TV didn’t work. When I told them the next morning , they said that they hear that a lot and someone would have come up to get it working. If you hear that a lot, maybe your system is weird or you should leave instructions.

Everything was going great untill the second day got a call from desk about checking out by 11am. Iexplained I had boiked two nights accout of us relocating to Farmington from Ofallon. The desk explained thst I made it online and no mistake, one night but I called the motel couple of days before to confirm I had two small dogs but was no mention when I made the reservation. The motel desk lokked and confirmed I had reservations for the two nights bt now the desk said and was not very nice about it. He did clear the way so we cout stay another night. Everything else with our stay was very good and staff all has been very nice. The breakfast offering is very good a lot of selections all seem to be very fresh and good flavor.

The Farmington Super 8 is fine. The 5-star friendly staff were the main reason for the overall 5-star experience. Very - VERY nice people! The facility is a bit dated. For example the toilet (at least the one in our room) is an old fashioned ‘builder’s grade’ short round bowl and the air conditioning unit is a bit more loud than background white noise. But the room was as clean as you can get well worn carpet and the bed was comfortable with clean sheets. And it has a nice pool for the kids or grandkids. I’d say from a cost perspective it’s among the best values of all options for a short stay in town.
