Nice staff, overall good experience
Overall, a good experience. This Riad seemed like a less popular one for some reason, but my girlfriend and I took a chance and booked it. The older hostess lady (and two younger men?) were very nice. The room was very spacious. AC worked. It was a positive experience, although compared to some of the other Riads, I felt some things were less "polished" or welcoming. For example, no tea, water, or snacks were offered on arrival or in the room. The appliances and decor could have used some updating; they were neither very "Moroccan" in look nor very modern. The bathroom was plain but functional. In the stairwell (no elevator), plentiful black luggage marks marred the walls. The room was supposed to be a "king" bed, but appeared to be two twin beds pushed together. Complimentary breakfast was simple and nice and about on par with the others we've experienced at other Riads. The Riad was large with 13-14 rooms and only a few were booked our night. Perhaps, they overextended themselves, and it would be difficult to renovate so many rooms. Walking around, it was like exploring a large deserted mansion. There was a nice rooftop with an excellent view (the Riad is high up on a hill), which we spent some time on in the evening. No wine or hookah was available for purchase. Overall it was a positive experience, however for the same price perhaps you could get something with a little more polish and refinement

Great architecture and location
This is a riad hotel tucked away in the medina. The staff are friendly and try to please, but it's not a five-star hotel. The breakfast was good, and an evening meal is available on request although there are plenty of good restaurants close to the hotel.

Not value for money
Hi, we had checked in earlier in the morning, but we're not given 65 eur room but later charged 65 eur for it. Travelled all over morocco and this hotel served very ordinary breakfast. Hospitality was at the lowest. Person appointed by the hotel as a guide turned out to be a fraud. He took us to a place for shopping where a 60 dirham wallet was sold to me for 150 dirhams and he told us it was a good deal. And I bought 4 wallets. Caution: no wifi in the rooms, ordinary breakfast, get your eon your guide

Riad does not live up to it's website
Lobby was excellent but rooms were substandard in cleanliness and general finish with many loose tiles on floors, toilet paper and soap and shampoo missing. Also when our travelling companions in the room below had a shower our shower dropped off to a dribble. The staff member on duty tried hard but had authority. He couldn't even take our room payment so we had to wait until the owner's wife showed up later. Our taxi driver could not get the address from the owner and was told someone would meet us in the car park nearby. No one did but people hanging around there were able to direct us. It appears this riad has changed it's name recently and so very few people knew where it was.

Festastic
There are no surprises, this is the standard Fes riad ... However, the Patron and his team are really helpful. They are beginning to offer more than the standard bed and breakfast ... e.g. Lunches on request and eventually will start to do the tours also, so watch this space.

The hotel is very dirty. Bath rooms are falling apart with dirty floors. When we reached there, there was no one on the reception except a cleaning lady. She put us on the phone with the owner and he promised that he will be there in one hour but he did not show up till 7 AM next day. Looks like the hotel is unattended most of the times. This hotel desereve only ONE STAR or less.

Poor Service and Manners
Service was way below all other Riads I have visited in Morocco's Medinas. The room I was given was a no window, no heather two single bed room, while I had made a reservation for a balcony room, tv, two king beds, heather, etc. I received no explanation and realized that the price for the room was the same for the "luxury" ones, when asked the owner the reason, he became angry and very rude, and after shouting during 2 minutes then he suddencly offered a 20% discount from list price. Not serious, not trustworthy. Very bad service overall, Riad wasn't clean, No internet, water wasn' hot, toilettes dirty and room with food and gasoline smell.

The Riad is in ideal location to all sites . The staff very helpful. The actual Riad is an amazing building, it looks like a medresa in itself.

Nette riad, ideale ligging

Lovely hotel with a perfect view over the city.
Very nice restaurated hotel with big rooms that are looking like an arabic dream. Our kids love all the service personals. Only 2min to the old town. The rooms include an air-heating , sat-TV and a big bathroom also with heating. From the terrasse u have a look all over the city. If u want to see the life in marokko, the people, the culture and the ambiance its a perfect place.
