This hotel was fine. The people at the front desk were friendly, though one afternoon the roof above our rooms was being worked on, making being in the room miserable, and they were not able to move us to a different room nor did they offer a discount for the room that day. The employees did not even know the maintenance was happening, and no solution was presented. There were not any hot breakfast options, which would have made the breakfast better.

Loved our stay here. Saw the hotel on Rick Steve's list and took a chance, even though its a boutique place, not a global chain. I couldn't be happier. The hotel was well located, close to all the attractions, great dining options around. Walkable to every place. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great. Rooms were clear and functional. I would recommend it highly and would love to stay there again.

Poor check in with little to no interaction. Shower had someone else’s hair in it and stepped on a foreign toenail in the room. We went out for drinks at the wine bar located two feet from the front door of the hotel and got locked out by the hotel staff on our first night. As this hotel is old and only uses metal keys, we could not get back in. The desk is supposed to be monitored 24 hrs but we spent 30 minutes calling the desk, ringing the doorbell, and all three of us pounded on the door extensively. We were finally let in by a disgruntled employee who talked in circles and suddenly pretended not to understand us when we asked why the doors were locked and we were not informed of when this would occur or how we could get in. When we asked why no one answered our calls, he claimed the phone was broken. However, when we called the number while standing at the desk, the phone rang loud and clear. Since we could not receive any answer from the staff about why this happened and whether or not it would happen again we decided to move hotels. When telling the morning staff about the incident, they were not sympathetic and tried to place the blame on us. Even the staff told us that when working at night they get worried about the people who wandered the street and feel unsafe. As three young women locked out at night, we REALLY felt unsafe. After a very long conversation we were able to leave our reservation early, but not without being forced to pay for a night we did not stay.

The room itself, location, and hotel staff were all great! Although there were cafes downstairs, we were surprised by how quiet it was in our room. The area is convenient with lots of nearby restaurants and a 2 min walk to the laundromat. Only con (which wasn’t too big of a deal) is that there were no elevators so be prepared to carry luggages up to the lobby. Again not too big of a deal. Overall, would definitely stay again!

Perfect Boutique Hotel
We stayed one night at this clean and modern hotel. The desk clerks were very accommodating and made sure that our stay was perfect. Location is very close to Duomo and Accademia. There’s lots of good food nearby as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great location close to attractions and Firenze SMN. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast. It’s right in the midst of restaurants and shops in a historic building. There aren’t many rooms which was a plus in my opinion. It seems to sort of operate as more of a boutique or bed and breakfast type place. It’s great, I’d stay here again and recommend.

One member of our group was slightly injured during the trip. The staff at the hotel was exceptionally kind and attentive. Bringing ice packs and checking in to be sure all was ok. This is a place that I would definitely recommend and it is a great value considering its great location.

Fantastic hotel! We called last minute and secured a room via Expedia - we arrived and they upgraded us so we could have two beds (king and a twin). Our check in guy was awesome - he carried my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. The room was clean, quiet, air worked great, wonderful & modern bathroom and shower — it was all fantastic! NO bed bugs!! Breakfast is included - had nice options (hard boiled egg, cold lunch meat and cheeses, lots of bread options, crosssnts with and without chocolate, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweets, etc). Nice cappuccino machine too! We had our laundry done - bring by 10am and return by 6pm. It is $25 per bag - and you can fit approx 3-5 days of cloths in bag if you pack good. Staff was so friendly - always willing to answer questions, spoke English well, fun to talk to. Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

This place is right in the middle of the village with an unassuming entry about a block from the Duomo. It’s only a 8 minute walk to the train as well. Staff was top notch, helpful and always available. Room was in the back of the house which had windows to a quiet street and the windows were quality for air, light and sound. Front door flanked by restaurants and pubs and street life but rooms seem to be on back side with no noise. Will stay here every time we visit.
