We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel in Florence. The location is perfect, walking distance to all major sights and a block away from the river. The roof deck cannot be beat! We ended each day with a drink on the private terrace with the most amazing views of the city. Free breakfast was very good with a wide array of items and helpful servers, particularly Vivian who was very friendly and made great cappuccino every day. We would definitely return.

Very good location and great sized room. We were located in the tower section of the hotel. There was an elevator to the 3 rd floor but then our room was down a large set of stairs with no elevator options. So if you have a lot of luggage o would be aware of that. The wifi was also not very strong in that part of the hotel. Other than that, great stay, would stay again.

Rooftop terrace and view make this hotel worth the stay! We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk out the front door and enjoy all that Florence has to offer.

Lovely old building and full of character Rooms good, comfy bed and good shower Great location, felt very safe and close to everything but still nice and quiet Roof top terrace has fab views and such a fab place to just sit and relax, roof to bar very strange as it’s just a guy taking drink orders but still worth a visit (WiFi very hot & miss) Definitely recommend

The place was big enough for a family of 5 and very conveniently located. The view from the tower is really outstanding and a very pleasant surprise. The breakfast, prepared by Vivian and her staff was superb. We did not enjoy a breakfast like that in any other of the places we stayed during our visit to Italy.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Easily walkable to main sights and train. Good room size and comfortable beds. Could use a shelf or 2 to unpack clothes. Hotel itself is lovely with sitting areas on every floor. Great breakfast selection. Loved the rooftop bar. Some occasional street noise if we left the window open at night. Staff was very helpful and gave us some great restaurant suggestions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Thank you Torre Guelfa!

Being an old building, it was well appointed, the , room and bathroom were big. Breakfast was in a lovely room and it was very generous and really good. The hotel has a tower with a fantastic view of the city. My only complain, however, the bed was hard and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable and hard. Definitely a deterrent to come back in spite of all the other positives.

Perfect location
I like the charm of the hotel , but it wasn’t a very cozy place to stay. The hall ways and breakfast room was cold .The mattress was hard. The breakfast was good , but not great. The concierge could not help us with tourists sites and tickets. He referred me to a street vendor who was difficult to find. However, the location was perfect for the center.

This hotel was an amazing place!!! We found out that this hotel was a palace of a noble family in Florence. it was in a great location and was very walkable to the all the main points of interests in Florence. The person in charge of breakfast, Vivienne was so so so sweet. we were visiting from California during December. The hotel had an amazing breakfast service which featured all types of breads, jams, sweets, and savory snacks. Everyday when we walked in we were greeted in buy Vivienne, she always had a smile on her face and was happy. The tower of the hotel also had spectacular views of the beautiful cathedral and the city plaza. Loved everything about it!!!

Good location. Front desk staff to business like. While I selected this property after research I would research other properties again before selecting this property. There are better and just as competitive options out there. While the breakfast was fine for my wife and I a staff member did advise another customer complained about breakfast.
