You can’t get any closer to the center of Florence. Open the window and you’re 50 feet from the Duomo.

The staff was really helpful, location is unbeatable, walking distance to all historical landmarks. They keep the property clean. It is an ancient building, but the room is updated. Occasionally there was an unpleasant smell of old building

Hard to find but a great place to stay
Pros: beautiful room, lovely balcony, comfortable bed, great shower, beautiful china tea cups with the coffee service, will store your bags for you after checkout We would recommend taking the rickshaw tour around Florence— that was an added bonus! Cons: no parking at the hotel but they direct you to a parking garage which is great but be aware you can’t go to the hotel directly to drop off your bags first. Also the hotel is actually a B&B within the Hotel Duomo and it faces the Duomo. That would have been great to know bc we had a hard time finding it.

Great location! But not soundproof, it gets noisy. It was nice to hear the music in the plaza at nights but during the day, the construction starts very early in the mornings. The bed and pillow weren’t the most comfortable. We had decent sleep but didn’t feel rested. It sucks that there is almost no one at the reception during the day because we were hoping to store our luggage for a couple of hours after checking out. The accommodation also lacks the finer details, such as there was an espresso machine but no pods, there was wine in the mini fridge but no bottle opener or glasses.

Perfect location right in the Plaza Duomo, easy to orient yourself for city site-seeing. Very secure surroundings, nice, clean room.

What an amazing location and great quality accommodation. It was very convenient with dining, shopping and attractions all immediately walkable from the property. The host was very attentive to all our needs and the quality of the room excellent. Highly recommended!!

Although the room was in a convenient are, it was the most miserable nights sleep we’ve ever had! The air conditioner was blowing warm air all night so we didn’t sleep at all. We both soaked the bed with sweat. It was absolutely miserable. I told the host about it after the first night and nothing was done. The second night was the absolute worst night(at least 80 degrees F in our room). I did tell him again and he said sorry but the air was fine. Total rip off

A perfect week in Florence
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The room was spotlessly clean (possibly the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in) and the views of the duomo from the suite are breathtaking, made only better by the music from street performers we could hear with the windows open in the evenings. With the windows closed it was quiet & peaceful. Check in was smooth & straight forward and our host was incredibly friendly and helpful offering restaurant and experience suggestions. I would 100% stay again if we visit beautiful Florence again!

Our stay started off terribly and got worse.The first night (11:59PM exactly, confirmed by security footage), one of the employees opened our locked door (locked from inside) and walked into our room. We were already hearing lots of noises in the hallway leading to our room so we tried to barricade the door with our suitcases before this, as well as locking it. Despite the locked door, resistance by the suitcase barrier and both of us inside the room calling out to "Stop" and that the room was occupied, the employee ignored all of this and walked in anyways. Not only was this a breach of privacy as we were in bed trying to sleep at this late hour, this was a HUGE security/safety concern. With our door locked and us in the room, the employee still came in. I jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed to try confront and discover who broke into our room in the hallway. He ignored me completely. We were now worried for the rest of the trip that there was a highly probable chance that an employee could simply enter our room as they please. For this reason, and the fact that there is no safe on the property for your valuables, we actually kept our valuables (money, jewelery, etc...) on our persons for the whole entire trip. This put as at risk the whole time, but at least this way we had some control over our valuables seeing as they were with us and not left unguarded at the property. There is more to this review, but a limit on Expedia review size. Go literally anywhere else!!!!!
