Strange Uncle b&b lonely trip room

Strange Uncle is located in a small street next to San Lorenzo Square and it's 3 minutes walking from the Duomo and 8 minutes walking from the station. The B&B offers 4 bedrooms. The lonely trip room has a shared bathroom and a very unique jungle style. It offers WiFi and coffee, tea, TV, linen, bathroom amenities and towels, as well as luggage leave before check-in and after check-out, comfortable self-check-in and kitchen use. A tasty Italian breakfast can be added on request.

Strange Uncle B&B is situated in a small and characteristic street next to Piazza San Lorenzo, the square of the famous leather market. The building is from the 1700s, three of our rooms have original frescoes.
The interior design is a mix of furniture from the late 800s and some of our creations.
We offer three double bedrooms and one single room. All rooms feature a hairdryer, TV and coffee machine.
Guests can use the shared kitchen and leave their luggage before check-in and after check-out. Each room offers a personal guide book with our favorite restaurants, bars, sights and our favorite places in the area.

IMPORTANT
From January 2024, there will be construction works going on in our building, because we are getting a new rooftop, a new facade and a lift. So, there won't be much sunlight coming in from the windows because of the scaffolding and there can be dust and noise in the building. We are sorry for any inconvenience and hope it will be done soon.

The kitchen is the heart of the Strange Uncle. Here, our guests can meet other travelers, cook and enjoy a glass of wine.

Bred and Nadja live 5 minutes walking from the Strange Uncle and pass by if needed. Bred's dad offers winery tours to the oldest wine castle in Tuscany.

This area is famous for its leather market, which is open all day long, every day.
Next to the leather market you can find the Mercato Centrale: the ground floor is open until 2 pm (every day except Sunday) and offers homemade pasta, fresh fruit, butchers, bakeries and a very good restaurant; the upper floor is new, it's open every day until midnight: here you can find a bar, a pizzeria, some wine bars, restaurants, ice-creams and in general some typical tuscan food.

Our area is well connected and no public transportation is needed in Florence, all sights are walking distance
From SMN station, you can do one day trips to other cities: Pisa, Lucca and Siena are less than 90 minutes by train\bus.

For the guests who travel by car, there is garage Michelangelo in Via Ricasoli, 4 minutes walking distance, where our guests get a discount.

WINE TOUR in the CHIANTI AREA
We invite our guests on booking a wine tour with our private driver who brings you to the oldest winery in Tuscany. Take a walk in the 1000-year-old wine cellars, learn about the winery's history and taste excellent wines and starters. After that, Strange Uncle's private driver brings you to Greve in Chianti where you can have a tasty gelato and visit one of the most famous butcher shops. Book your guided tour now! :)

It is possible to start the tour at 9.00 am, 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm

The rooms will be ready at 14.00 latest, but you can come earlier and leave your luggage. Please just let us know your approximate arrival time.
Check-out is at 10 am and you can leave luggage in the kitchen after that
We have a comfortable self-check-in system
The Strange Uncle is on the second floor without elevator, but the stairs are quite easy.
