Waterscape resort
Our trip to Destin was overall pretty good. Waterscape was nice. Our room had sand in the pipelines but it was a system wide issue that the location was trying its best to correct. The manager offered us another room to stay that was not experiencing the issue.

Great Amenities for families
Pinkie and her team were excellent to work with. I had some tech issues with the reservation and my stay and they were very responsive. The unit is clean and adequately stocked. The location working Watersound is convenient to the elevator and pools. Watersound itself is wonderful for families with younger kids- the pools and entertainment gave us lots of options for our 3yo.

The room was very dusty. There was dust on the wall by the stove and the utility room door looked like it hadn't been cleaned or dusted in years. Otherwise the facilities were great. My son really loved the lazy river and pool.

Property was beautiful. Rooms were dirty looked like they were not cleaned in a long time.
There was dust on the ceilings in every room. The couch in the living room was awful. We had to cover it with a sheet so we can sit on it.

We have stayed at the Waterscape 4 times before in the past 9 years. This condo was on the average scale. It was one of the last available rooms. The communication with the owners was spectacular. The check in/out process was very easy. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Our biggest complaint, and it is a matter of opinion, were the beds. The beds were super hard. I actually slept on the pullout couch two nights because it was more comfortable. Also, the view of the ocean is very small. The palm trees block most of the view. This is very important for me. I did email the owner as we left about a few items and they acknowledged them. The condo was clean.

Family Trip
We had a great trip and enjoyed our stay! Here are some helpful tips for guests: Walk to Stewby’s for lunch or dinner. It is so good! Alvin’s has everything you need for the beach from toys to swimwear. The condo was in the perfect location! Pictures are up to date. Guests will need to bring their own hand soap (kitchen and bathrooms), paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, hair dryer, iron, beach towels, etc. There was a small container of dish soap. The kitchen had a toaster, coffee maker for k cups or coffee filters, mixing bowls, etc. There is a pantry, closet with a broom, washer, and dryer. The bathrooms each had 4 bath towels. The bathrooms were all spacious! The condo had plenty of room for our group of 7. The living room comfortably sits 5 people. We pulled up chairs from the table. The bunk room does not have a door but does have two tv’s (one for each bunk). Both master bedrooms have doors that open to the balcony. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The palm tree had been trimmed. You can see the pool and beach. This unit is located next to the elevator on the 5th floor (there are 6 floors in the building). We heard no noise from the elevator and it was so convenient! There are luggage carts in the garage. We loved getting drinks from the tiki bar and lounging by the waterfall. There is a complimentary beach chair and umbrella set up but we drove a mile down the road to the public beach area (free parking, bathrooms, and outdoor showers) and found it to be less crowded. When the surf is too high go across the road to the beach on the bay side. It’s $25 per vehicle for the week so buy it at the beginning of your trip. We appreciated the easy no contact check in/out. It was my first time using vrbo. Be sure to send a check for the remaining balance. It does not automatically withdraw from the card used for the deposit. We would definitely visit again 😊

The property is beautiful! The owner was amazing and helpful. Condo was exactly as described and just perfect! Two things, don't ever eat at the pier...but do eat at Stewby's.

View from the Patio
The picture in the listing is old. when we checked in it was late night so we couldn't see the ocean view. The first morning when we opened the patio a big palm tree is covering the whole patio. we couldn't see the ocean anywhere from the patio unless we stand on a step stool, because of the tree. They had just finished the renovation so wall decors are on the floors and tables, which we ignored. I guess they also did not do detailed dusting which triggered my allergies. The only complaint we had is a view from the Patio. The property manager is very nice. As soon we expressed our disappointment she gave us an option of checkout on that day itself. We booked for 6 nights and we stayed only 1 night.
