Avoid if possible but staff are lovely!
Firstly the reception staff were brilliant especially Marilyn and Clara . BUT I had to change rooms 4 times because of non- existent and poor a/c . The room I finally got had 2 broken lights and a broken hairdryer ( which I didn’t mind as at least it had a/ c and was a lovely room. Have to say packing my cases and lugging them from room to room is not my idea of a good hotel. Will avoid Crowne Plaza chain in future.

What was good? Front desk staff, bartender, chicken burger. What was bad? Wi-fi was brutal, even changed rooms, where it worked a bit better, constantly bumped off as well. Air conditioning didn’t exist, setting 5 degrees fan hi, auto and manual, still like a sauna. Shower had good pressure, but would jump 20 degrees every few seconds. Lighting very poor, light on my side didn’t work, couldn’t read or even go on my phone with the poor wi-fi. No shuttle, expect a 30-35 euro taxi each way. Room was clean, but extremely outdated, say mid 1950’s Tried to just get coffee from the restaurant to take up to the room , no staff, coffee machine didn’t work properly anyway Pool was down for maintenance. Stayed for the crowne plaza name and was very disappointed.

The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation (the tram stop is very near) and only about 10 minutes by taxi to the airport. Breakfast buffet is commendable.

Friendly staff, but way too few people in the bar/restaurant in the evening. Kitchen closed 9:30 pm even though there were huge cues waiting to order food after returning from football game.

Stay spoilt by rubbish shower
Hotel was fine, room was fine. BUT if you are charging 300 GBP for a room than i expect the shower to work properly and NOT slide down the rail so i have to hold it up with one hand to shower and nearly as bad the water temp fluctuates! NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Seasoned travellers rate a room by check-in, bed (comfort & clean) and shower.

Layover hotel
Stayed here for a layover. Did its job. Fairly clean. Not much around. Highlight was the Little Shanghai Chinese Restaurant, within walking distance about 3 min, great food. About 10-15 taxi ride to airport
