Morning coffee or an evening cocktail can be enjoyed on the gorgeous porch that offers a view of the cattle and horses in the pasture. Apart from the comfortable sleeping accommodation, there are all the amenities that make the experience one of a kind; pool/hot tub, outdoor stone fire pit, Outdoor Television on patio, indoor fireplace, full kitchen for dining and comfortable lounge area. Guests are perfectly located in the heart of the Texas Wine Trail. Some of the most popular Fredericksburg wineries are less than 5 minutes away, and the property is only minutes from the historic Fredericksburg downtown area. The iconic town of Luckenbach is just 3.4 miles away, less than 5 miles from the Wildseed Farm, Alstadt Brewery and Trade Days. Spring Break Family Vacation
We planned to stay in Fredericksburg for spring break and wanted to be able to unwind and relax at our chosen location. This house with the hot tub and pool and in the country so we didn’t have to worry about our 6, 6, 10, and 11 year olds bother anyone was perfect . It was close to Fredericksburg - just a 17 min drive. We had an easy drive to hike Enchanted Rock and caverns. Every day we enjoyed the hot tub and the kids used the pool even though it was too cold for the adults. We were only 6 minutes from Luckenbach. The house was comfortable and clean and had a great amount of kitchen supplies already there to make sure we didn’t spend all day doing dishes from breakfast to enjoy lunch. The sound system was a great surprise and made staying outside even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend and go back!

Had a great time. Vrbo was located in perfect location to visit the wineries on HWY 290 . Just a few mins from town. Vrbo was cute and clean. Everything exactly as stated in listing, comfy couches. Nice and private. Used the jacuzzi and it was great. We’ll definitely be back!.

Short Getaway
Reserved this home for a couple nights during a visit to Fredericksburg and Lukenbach. Great location off 290. Had two couples in our group and house was perfect size for everyone. Upstairs is private and allowed some separation. Property was very clean and needed amenities were provided. Got a chance to use the hot tub which was clean as well and easy to operate. Great outdoor area. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the Property!
My family enjoyed the house and pool. The acreage surrounding the house ensured that my young children did not disturb the neighbors. The house was clean and all the appliances worked. The location made it easy to enjoy Fredericksburg and the local wineries. The pool was relaxing after a long day of running around. I would definitely recommend Das Steinhaus and look forward to bringing the family back.

Relaxing getaway
This property is ideal for a short break if you do need to be in the centre of town. Easy access to local wineries yet away from the main road. Beautifully decorated although we didn’t find the beds to our liking. Also, the hot tub was not functioning and we were unable to get this remedied before we checked out. This, along with the pool, had been a major factor in choosing this property so it was very disappointing. Also, the automatic gate to the property did not appear to be working. Whilst this is a minor thing, it may indicate a lack of oversight from the management company. All in all, though, a lovely property to get away from things yet still be close to shops, wineries and other attractions.

Renters Beware
The house was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The problem is Absolute Charm. We spent a good amount of time cleaning up the house before our checkout time. An hour later I get an email that an extra fee has been charged to credit card on file. We requested more details as to why the charge had been assessed. That's when things got strange. 45 minutes after our request, we got an email with photos attached. The property managers had actually taken the time to pull trash out, place it various places around the house, to make it look like we left the house in bad shape. I told them the photos had been doctored, but they stood by their claim and their charge. They'll probably reply to this review and refute my story, but don't trust these people. Look at their yelp reviews. They have a pattern of this behavior.

We've stayed at this site several times, but this is the first time we've seen the new pool. I love the pool!! It was very refreshing to come back to in the middle of July. The location is perfect for visiting all the sites.

This rental was perfect and mostly what we expected! The only complaints I had were the beds upstairs were very noisy and uncomfortable. We were only left 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and 4 trash bags which wasn’t near enough for 6 of us. Overall the place was great and we had a wonderful time and would stay here again!

Lovely Getaway
This was a perfect getaway spot for me and my husband! Overall the house was lovely. It was clean, uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing. But, the cleaning crew could have done a better job sweeping the floor. The house was secluded and close to pastures with cattle and vineyards which was serene and relaxing. So, expect the flys that go along with farm animals. We would definately stay there again!

We loved the place, everything was perfect, I wish I could book it more often but I was able to do this trip alone without my pups 🐶 because my mom was here babysitting them, since normally I book places that have a swimming pool for my son and that I can take my two dogs, but it was one of the best places we have stayed at.

Great Texas Hill Country Experience
We arrived at the property before check-in time just to see where it was. We then drove into Fredericksburg to look around. I was initially disappointed that the house was more than 10 miles away. Guess what, after checking in we never went back into Fredericksburg. The area where the house is provided all we needed. Beautiful, uncrowded wineries all around, hot tub, cows, goats, Luckenbach, ect. Beauty without the crowds! We loved it and was very comfortable there! Management and owner were great with help and answers to our questions.

So Peaceful!
The moment you walk in the house has the “wow factor”! Everything was clean and updated. We liked being away from town and enjoyed the peaceful feeling while relaxing in the hot tub watching the sun set. Would definitely go back and bring friends!

Wonderful Girls Weekend
We really enjoyed our stay at this charming, cozy house. It was very close to the wineries and a short drive to downtown. We loved the remote feel and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The house had everything we needed and it was exactly as pictured. The hot tub and fire pit were nice to relax after a long day. Owners were very responsive. Will definitely be back!

Trip to wine country
The house was in a great location to wineries and many other things to do. The pool and hot tub were great! Would of been nice to have access to a dryer for wet towels, as we had a few days with clouds and rain storms , less sun to dry outside. The kitchen was stocked with dishes etc. for the most part , however a platter or two would of been nice for larger meals to be set up for dinner. And we found no trash bags and had to get some . The beds while large were not the most comfortable and very noisy and squeaky. Over all a cute house and large enough for 6 of us. Enjoyed ourselves immensely.
