The Space:
Your getaway begins with a scenic drive up Virginia’s Blue Mountains, where the cabin offers breathtaking views stretching over 50 miles on clear days. Whether you’re here to unwind or reconnect with loved ones, this cabin is designed for relaxation and togetherness. The main floor’s open-concept kitchen, dining area, and living room feature oversized couches centered around a striking two-story fireplace—perfect for cozy autumn and winter evenings.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, equipped with everything you need for crafting your culinary delights. You’ll have access to high-quality cookware and appliances, including a full-size oven, Vitamix blender, KitchAid mixer, crockpot, toaster, waffle iron, and more. There’s ample dinnerware, wine glasses, and silverware for all your guests, so you can host in style.

Step outside onto the large screened-in porch, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the valley come alive with vibrant fall colors. In the evening, the porch transforms into the perfect spot to take in the stunning sunsets. A large grill is also conveniently located just outside the kitchen, making outdoor meals a breeze. Two first-floor bedrooms, each with a workspace, and a full-size bathroom round out this level.

Upstairs, the loft offers a cozy retreat with two futons and a 43” TV—an ideal space to curl up with a good book or watch your favorite show.

In the basement, you’ll find another inviting living area with a sectional couch, additional seating, a second fireplace, and a 75” TV with sound bar. The oversized games make it perfect for family fun. A third bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry room are also on this floor, with direct access to the hot tub—just steps away for year-round relaxation.

We take pride in decorating the property seasonally, so you can expect beautiful autumn décor through November before changing over to festive holiday accents.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire cabin excluding storage closets.

Far View Cabin sits within a community of full-time residents, vacation home owners, and short term rentals.

Other Things to Note:
We welcome up to one dog at this property - please add a pet to your reservation to cover the additional fee. Additional pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please send an inquiry to discuss. Service animals are welcome, but please let us know about them in advance so we can let our cleaner know.

Our area is surrounded by wildlife - you will regularly see deer and may even sneak a peak at a black bear hanging out on the mountain. While the house rarely houses critters of its own, the occasional bug or tiny creature may make a visit!

We have guest wellness and safety guide all of our decisions. All bedding, including sheets, quilts, and blankets are washed between every reservation and all bedrooms have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and multiple fire extinguishers are available. Our cabin also has a Minut sound monitoring device centrally located in the hallway - the device monitors decibel levels but does not collect or record audio. Its settings are triggered to let us know when noise at the level of a party is present.

The basement fireplace offers an electric insert; however the living room fireplace is for ambiance only and wood burning fires are not permitted.
