Room was clean. The reason for the bad rating was because the elevator did not work and the staff didn’t acknowledge that this could be a problem especially if you are on the third floor. Their response was “it is what it is”.

We stayed at 5 hotels on our trip and being the one American chain, I honestly expected a mediocre experience. It was our favorite of all 5!! The place was immaculate, the staff was super-friendly, the breakfast was amazing, the hotel was 2 blocks from the town center, and from our corridor end door we had a surprise beautiful view of Neuschwanstein Castle! Highly recommend.

Great base for exploring the area
The bed was comfortable and bathroom was a decent size. The air conditioning worked, which we were great full for as it was warm and humid outside. We had a great view from our room of the Neuschwanstein Castle in the distance, which we didn’t expect. We appreciated the reasonable prices of the minibar so we didn’t have to go looking for water when we arrived. They have parking at reasonable 9 Euros a night although the spaces are very tight (at least by American standards). But there is also free parking on the street that is easier if you don’t care about being in locked garage. The location is easy walking distance into old town Fussen (which is adorable) and quick drive to Neuschwanstein. Over all great stay.
