The house Buchfink (bungalow) is located in Dies, district of Gackenbach, in the middle of the Gelachtal valley, in the Westerwald. The surrounding area offers numerous excursions, hiking, cycling and motorcycling, swimming in the lake 4km away, canoeing on the Lahn, a visit to the Gackenbach wildlife and leisure park, shopping tour in The Style Outlet in Montabaur, wellness in the Emser Therme or a visit to Koblenz with its cozy old town, cable car, Deutsches Eck, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

This is a small tranquil place in the middle of meadows, forests and the Gelbach.

You will spend your vacation in a quiet residential area.
Since it is a popular motorcycle region, it is not excluded to hear it during the day.

Our house was built in 1974 and offers 118 square meters of living space. It was completely renovated in 2019! The entire area is only available to our guests.
It consists of 3 bedrooms (2 double beds, 1 bunk bed), a large living room with fireplace and a directly adjacent dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a high-quality bathroom with shower and toilet and a guest toilet.
Bed linen and towels are not included, but can be booked for a fee (€ 5 per set). Please specify when booking.
Parking spaces for 3 cars or for motorbikes are available on the property. There is a large lawn in front of the house with a terrace and barbecue facilities, as well as a small terrace behind the house to enjoy the evening sun in summer!

Geweldig huis in mooie omgeving
Wij waren afgelopen week (11-9 t/m17-9) in Buchfink74 en hebben genoten ondanks het bewolkte en koude weer. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer compleet uitgerust. De verhuurders, Claudia en Uwe waren zeer attent en reageerden binnen een half uur.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche im Hause Buckfink verbracht. Das Haus war an den heißen Tagen wunderbar kühl. Das Haus ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Wir gingen spazieren, fuhren Kajak und besuchten Städte in der Umgebung.

Alles war rundum gut: Kommunikation, Check-In und Aufenthalt. Das Haus hat alles geboten, was man brauchte, die Ausstattung war gut, die Räume ordentlich eingerichtet und sauber. Für 4 Erwachsene bietet sich die Unterkunft gut an. Das Stockbett ist eher für Kinder bestimmt.

Tolle Unterkunft - sehr nette Vermieterin
Wir hatten ein super Wochenende in Dies. Haus, Lage, Vermieterin und Buchung kann man nur empfehlen. Hier ein Beispiel: Im Haus hatten wir keinen Handyempfang und leider fiel über das Wochenende wegen Bauarbeiten das Internet im ganzen Tal aus. Claudia (die Vermieterin) hat dann Ihre "Verbindungen" spielen lassen und z.B. für uns einen Tisch im Restaurant reserviert - perfekt!

Gemütliches Haus im Grünen
Wir waren als Familie mit zwei kleinen Kindern für eine Woche vor Ort. Das Haus lässt keine Wünsche übrig, war sehr sauber, neu renoviert, bestens ausgestattet und vorallem auch sehr kinderlieb und praktisch eingerichtet (ich habe bisher noch nie soviel Kinderequipment in einem Ferienhaus vorgefunden: Bänkchen fürs Bad, Kindergeschirr, mehrere Hochstühle, Wickeltisch, Spielgeräte im Garten, Spielzeug...). Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche gehabt und auch viel unternehmen können. Für Kinder sehr schön in der Nähe der Wildpark und der Hertasee, das Minigolf mit leckerer Pizzeria und kleinere Wanderrouten mit Burgruinen. Tagestouren nach Koblenz, Limburg und Nassau lohnen sich ebenfalls, da überall auch schön angelegte Spielplätze zu finden sind. Das Haus ist auch im Sommer schön kühl, die Schlafzimmer angenehm abzudunkeln und sehr ruhig, das Sonnensegel macht die Terasse sehr gemütlich! Claudia war eine sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und nette Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder!

Familienurlaub Top!
Wir sind als 4-köpfige Familie ins Ferienhaus Buchfink gekommen und wurden sehr nett begrüßt. Das Haus war sauber und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Claudia war eine super Gastgeberin und immer darauf bedacht, dass es uns gut geht. Die Gegend ist sehr schön und man kann viel unternehmen bzw. besichtigen (Auto unbedingt nötig). Koblenz und Limburg sind absolut eine Reise wert. Es war eine schöne Zeit trotz wechselhaftem Wetter. Erholung pur! Vielen Dank und vielleicht bis bald!

Spacious, great house for a nice stay in Germany.
When we arrived, the owner (Claudia) gave us a warm welcome. She is very nice and tries to make your stay as nice as possible. She speaks and writes English well. After a tour of the spacious house, Claudia shared information about what to do in the area. The location of the house is wonderful. It is located in a small village that is very quiet. The house is well maintained and very clean. During our stay, the outdoor temperature was between 26 °C and 32 °C. Inside the house, it stayed cool (around 22 °C). We had a great time during our stay and very much enjoyed the facilities of the house (and location).

Liebevoll renovierter, geschmacklich schön eingerichteter, sauberer Bungalow mit Fliegenschutzgittern in den Schlafzimmern, im Kinderzimmer und der Küche. Super ausgestattete Küche. Urlaub im Westerwald
Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub im Gelbachtal verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön und super auch für Selbstversorger ausgestattet. Auch wenn wir nur zu zweit waren, ist es auch für Familien sehr gut geeignet, da es sehr großzügig ist und mit 3 Schlafzimmern genügend Platz hat. Man kann von Dies schöne Ausflüge mit dem Rad (E-Bike) oder Wanderungen unternehmen. Montabaur, Limburg und Koblenz sind einen Abstecher wert. Die Tipps von Claudia waren auf jedenfall sehr hilfreich (z.B. die Wanderung zum Goethepunkt). Sie rundet den sehr guten Eindruck mit ihrer Fürsorge nochmals ab. Das Objekt ist für einen Urlaub im Westerwald sehr zu empfehlen. Nochmals vielen Dank!

Wir haben hier eine wunderbare Ferienwoche mit unserer Familie verbracht! Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gepflegt und es fehlt an nichts. Unsere beiden Jungs, 3 Jahre beschwerten sich, dass der Urlaub zu kurz gewesen sei und kamen mit dem Inhalt der Spielzeugtruhe voll auf ihre Kosten. Ausflugstechnisch ist das Haus optimal gelegen um ein abwechslungsreiches Urlaubsprogramm zu ermöglichen. Die sympathische Gastgeberin empfing uns sehr herzlich und lieferte uns viele Tips. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Claudia die Gastgeberin hatte uns sehr freundlich willkommen gehießen. Das Haus sieht aus wie auf den Bildern. Super sauber und viel Platz. Eine schöne ruhige Lage und bei schönem wetter konnten wir den garten nutzen und haben Federball gespielt wie auch die Kids die rutsche und den Sandkasten genutzt haben. Es war wunderbar erholsam!
Dieses tolle Ferienhaus können wir wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es ist genauso, wie man es auf den Fotos sieht. Sehr sauber und räumlich großzügig. Garten und Terrasse sind toll, auch wenn wir das wetterbedingt nicht ganz so ausnützen konnten. Dennoch kam die Feierschale einmal zum Einsatz, der Grill leider nicht. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und man kann vom Haus aus schöne Wanderungen machen. Wir haben auch viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht, v.a. an den Rhein (Deutsches Eck, Loreley…). Wenn man ein bisschen sucht, findet man auch nette und familienfreundliche Lokale im Umkreis. Die Vermieterin ist bei Fragen und Problemen (wir brauchten 1x einen Arzt) jederzeit ansprechbar und supernett. Als Familie mit drei schon größeren Kindern wollen wir auch besonders das gute WLAN loben.

Lovely stay at Haus Buchfink
We had a great holiday week in Dies. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well equiped. Nice environment and with the fenced garden, we could relax and enjoy the view while our 2 year old toddler and his 4 year old sister were playing to in the garden (they loved the sandbox!). Thanks to Claudia for being such a great host!

Gemütlichkeit auf hohem Niveau
Es gibt Häuser, da ist bereits beim Betreten klar, dass man hier eine gute Zeit haben wird. Hier stimmte das "zuhause Gefühl" Alle Räume sind geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet, das Haus ist sauber, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, mit allem was man braucht. Besonders gefreut haben sich unsere Mädels (4 und 1 Jahr(e) ) über den Spielturm mit Sandkasten im Garten und eine große Truhe im Haus, mit jeder Menge Spielsachen, die liebevoll zusammengestellt wurde. Claudia hat uns mit Tipps und Flyern versorgt, sodass wir jeden Tag bestmöglich verplanen konnten. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub!

Männer Tour
Die Ausstattung, Geräumigkeit und Lage sind super. Die Mountainbike Touren in die Umgebung sind vielfältig. Und es ist für jedes Können was dabei. Einen negativen Punkt gibt es. Mobilfunknetze der Telekom gibt es in ganz Dies nicht. Was aber teilweise durch ein gutes WlLAN auf dem Gesamten Grundstück ausgeglichen wurde. Wir würden wieder kommen.
