First, the staff were nice but reaching them in a timely manner was an issue for the entire trip. Calls recirculated to the “operator” which was the main line and any option rang without any answer. This cycle went on for over 5 minutes the few times we called. Next, the bathroom was filthy. Broken shower tiles, some lifted along the edge enough to rattle when the door opened and closed. Orange bacteria stains or perhaps red mold throughout. Clogged drain caused the bottom of the shower to flood within minutes. The sink faucet was installed too close to the counter and would make it impossible to wash hands without flooding the surrounding area. Towels smelled clean but were stained. Replacements were given when we were able to alert the staff. Finally, the mini fridge would not cool and the lightbulbs in the fixtures were all of different temperatures, some warm and bright, some dim and cold, some dim and warm…it was an odd ambiance that made the filth worse.

Hotel was good, slightly dated on some points inside room, but nice spacious bedrooms and general areas good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only the swimming pool at the front of the property was bit strange, probably why no one used it.

We had to wait at the front desk for 15 minutes before we could find anyone to check us into our room. The main area is nice and seems to be newly renovated. The guest rooms need to be updated. There were holes in the ceiling, pieces of wall missing in the bathroom, and the bathroom mirror was damaged.

Received texts welcoming you, and even during your stay asking if everything is according to expectation. I said yes, but since they asked, told them the first light in the room blew out right when we first arrived so they said they will send someone to replace bulb. Bulb was never replaced during our 3 day stay. Why even ask?

What i didnt like was the price & cleanliness. On game weekends prices are at a premium for a mediocre room. Also, when we checked in, our 1st room was dirty. Food left in frig, dirty clothes on bathroom floor. Upon bringing it to the front desk attention, they did give us a new room. The new room appeared cleaner, but still smelled musty, like the 1st room $1,200 for 2 nights at this hotel is a rip off.

All of the staff was very friendly and of course the cookies are great! They were able to get me checked into my room early which was helpful. Only complaint is the amount of noise and how thin the walls are. Every night I woke up 2-3 times because of people in the hallway and there were dogs barking. Most of the time it was hotel staff I believe as I overheard a gentleman around 1am on my last night talking about finding rooms for someone on the other line. He was walking up and down the hall multiple times talking very loudly into his phone. I’ve stayed in multiple doubters, at least 8 times, and thought it would be a lot nicer.

Deep concerns regarding the unsanitary conditions we encountered during our stay at the DoubleTree Gainesville on 40th. We recently evacuated due to Hurricane Milton and were fortunate to secure a room at this hotel. However, when we were tucking our children into bed, we discovered blood and/or feces on the bedding. This is not only unacceptable but also potentially hazardous to the health of my family, including my young children. We immediately removed the bedding, and I went to the front desk. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked, so we could not change rooms. While I was given a replacement comforter, we had to request new sheets separately. Although we tried to make the best of the situation, the fact remains that this level of cleanliness is inexcusable, especially for a family with children seeking refuge from a natural disaster.

Horrible stench of Mold. Got switched to another room and it was worse than the first one. I had to check out within a couple of hours of checking in because of breathing difficulties. I want a refund as this hotel is NOT safe!
