Our dream getaway
The Aspen House is an amazing little place with perfect privacy and proximity to Galena. Trails are right off of the drive and the wildlife is beautiful and welcoming. We loved the amenities and the screened in porch has such a beautiful forest view. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to go to unwind. Haley is a wonderful host.
It couldn't have done my health any better. You have to go there and see how peaceful and beautiful it is. Just wish check in was maybe 2 hour's earlier. Otherwise perfect.

Lovely Holiday Weekend
The Aspen House is well stocked and nestled in a lovely patch of land. My kids really enjoyed the outdoor play equipment and we put the fire pit to good use. It rained for part of our stay and the projector was fun for the kids to watch a movie on. My husband enjoyed that a grill was available and since it was on the screen porch, he was able to use it during the rain. Finally, Hailey is a great communicator and quickly responded to any questions I had. Great property!

Amazing getaway
This place is a treasure. My husband, teen age son and our dog stayed at Aspen House for nearly a week and we truly did not want to leave. It was so comfortable, quiet and private yet only 15 minutes from Downtown Galena. Right outside the door were miles of beautiful hiking trails. We enjoyed the firepit and relaxing on the screened porch and as others have said, there are wonderful, comfortable spaces to gather or to be alone. Communication was fantastic. We will be back!

Wonderful fall reunion
A perfect home for a fall family reunion. We prepared most meals in the well-stocked kitchen and spent hours around the fireplace when we weren’t walking the trails around Eagle Ridge or exploring downtown Galena. Hailey couldn’t have been a nicer or more responsive host — we’ll stay here again!

Retreat in nature
Aspen house was very clean and inviting. The fireplace was the focus point of our weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the coffee and tea bars. The cinnamon bread was a special touch! Beds were comfortable and the layout allowed us privacy. Nice safety features with plexiglass along the stairway and a gate to protect the top of the stairs. The musical instruments were neat and the kids bedroom adorable! We loved being able to see the trees through the high windows. The owners were responsive to communication. Overall, it was homey and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Quiet Stay in the Woods
The property was perfect for us since we enjoy quiet, wooded settings. The screened in porch made it easy to experience both and we even got to see some turkeys in the yard. The property itself was very comfortable with plenty of room for us to spread out. It was also very nice having trails close to the property so we could go for a quick walk before heading out for the day. We did not really take advantage of everything the Galena Territory had to offer but it is nice to have the Owners Club and other amenities available for use. Definitely enjoyed our stay!!

My cousins and I both lost our parents in the last 3 years. We chose this house as a weekend get away for some much needed healing. We were so impressed with the house. It has anything you would need, it is fully stocked. Honestly all you need to take is your clothes and some food. My dog went along as well. Hailey was great and quick to respond before and during our stay.

Absolutely perfect for me, my sister and my dog. Plenty of space and cozy. Bedroom downstairs was so cold I slept better than I have for awhile. My dog was happy looking at wildlife from the screened porch while my sister and I bbqed and played cards. Just perfect for what we needed.

Beautiful home away from home.
I was so impressed by this beautiful home! It was so clean and inviting. We especially loved the screened porch. We felt surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature. Sitting on the porch early in the morning watching the birds was just wonderful. It has everything anyone could possible want or need. It was quiet, peaceful and so relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this vacation property!

Fantastic, quiet and cozy spot
We really loved the Aspen House and Galena Territories. The remote feel was awesome, but we were really close to downtown. The screened in porch, like others have said, is delightful and the house is really accommodating, where everyone kind of can carve out some space and be comfortable. The kitchen and dining table were perfect for us too. Thoughtful touches like delicious cinnamon bread and K-cups are so perfect when traveling. And the welcoming spirit when it came to our pup (with a handy towel by the door and miles of trails to wear her out) was second-to-none. Clean bathrooms and comfy beds topped it off! And, check-out was super easy, which we always appreciate when trying to corral people and get back on the road. What a great experience all the way around. **We suggest the nearby country store-- great deli, good service, and decent prices-- and way better than a Walmart run any day. Google maps does a great job of pinpointing this and that around the lake and surrounding areas.**
