Good but needs some TLC
Check-in and communication with host was very straightforward and easy. The location is convenient for beach access and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house was clean and had the amenities we expected, but it is in need of some repairs. The stairs, deck/balcony, and porch screening in particular need replacement for safety. One of the exterior doors had a non-operational lock which left it unlocked at all times. I notified the host and it was not a concern for our short stay, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that for a longer time or with young kids who are mobile. There were no kayaks on the property.

The dirtiest and most rundown house—don’t book this place
The house is extremely dirty; the table and floor are filthy, and the most disgusting part is that the toilet bowl is surrounded by feces. The air conditioner is a small window unit, making it impossible to sleep due to the loud noise. I contacted the host to have them come back and clean, but they completely ignored my messages. I absolutely do not recommend this place—do not book it. This is the dirtiest house I've ever seen.

Beach box experience
Host communication is phenomenal! This was my first booking through Vrbo which I was pretty nervous about. The beach box team made everything seamless and non stressful as if it was our very own home instead of theirs. They truly care about their tenants and communicate very fast and efficiently. While this home does need normal on the coast maintenance, my family and I were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be booking again in the future! The set up of the place is absolutely perfect!! Tons of wildlife all around from furry baby bunnies to huge scaled alligator gar and bull sharks right at the waters edge under the home. Neighbors near by were very pleasant so that was a huge plus as well! I’d also like to state there weren’t any ridiculous rules with this host on cleaning the place as if you were the house maid between bookings which I have witnessed a lot of other hosts doing. It’s outrageous for people to pay top dollar for a stay somewhere, pay cleaning fees, and then be responsible for cleaning the entire place before they leave in order to avoid an extra charge. We highly appreciated this of the beach box hosts, they asked for the simple things only like taking your trash out and washing your dishes. Other than that they’ll take care of the sweeping, mopping, bed cleaning etc, which really added extra relief for our mini vacation! Eager to please and deliver great a time! They also allow pets for those of us who bring our fur babies on vacation with us!

Quiet area
The neifhbor was beautiful and quiet. It was a bit farther from downtown and attrations than i had thought it would be (30-45 min drive). The house was older but clean. I was told there was a washer and dryer but there is not. There was a screen missing from the screened porch, i was worried my 5 year old would get curious and fall out to the water. One of the rocking chairs had a broken leg and almost fell over with my 70 year old mother in law. I told them this and they just told me to put it aside. The shiwer nozzle were not accurate...you had to spin them until you could find an approximate comfortable temp. It did have lots of plates, cups, and good cooking ware. The porch swing by the water was a fun place to wind down for the night. We had a good time and enjoyed our time there. Just needs some repairs and upkeep

Peaceful place
We enjoyed the space and wish we had booked an extra day on the front end. The accommodations were as listed so we comfortably slept a group of ten adults. The place was peaceful, clean, and just right for a getaway or (like for us) a night before our cruise departure. I highly recommend.

Dirty ( Feces on bedsheets) & poorly maintained causing safety issues and management who don’t care!
DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY! We stayed at this property for our wedding anniversary. On arriving my kids ( 7 & 9 ) remarked on how beat up the place was paint peeling, stair and deck boards rotten, door to screened porch was missing and the flooring had holes in. Despite all this we were determined to have a great time so tried look past all this as we were just there for 2 nights. After sweeping and wiping all the surfaces we had dinner and put our kids to bed. Just as my husband and I were going to bed we pulled back to cover to find lumps and smears of “HUMAN FECES”all over the sheet. Not exactly the wedding anniversary gift we were expecting. Thankfully there was another bedroom so we slept in that one. Things got worse the following morning when my daughter, age 7 was looking out through a section of the screen porch on the 2nd floor that was broken. Not only is screen almost none existent so posing risk of a possible fall but as we called her away she caught her nightgown on the exposed1inch screws remaining. Luckily she did not hurt herself, just damaged her nightgown. We immediately reported this and the feces we’d found to the management company and the response from Russell was less than satisfactory, asking me to send photos and they’d look in to it. Eventually after hearing nothing we contacted VRBO directly who said they’d get home to contact me. Eventually a cleaning team arrived after 18hours, Russell’s response was why hadn’t we reported it early!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Falling into the Canal
We typically stay in Sea Isle when visiting and know the area well for 40 years. This was my first time using VRBO and I am not sure I would do it again honestly. This home appears to have been unfortunately hit by hurricane Harvey in 2017 and we believe it was never fully recovered. The pics are DEFINITELY pre Harvey 8 years ago. When I called (“Beach Box Rentals”) I was told no options (so essentially $ down the drain.) The home is structurally unsound and is literally falling into the bay canal. We were afraid to stay there. The concrete under the house is broken and dangerous. Kayaks have holes in them and sink. The pillars in the canal holding up the home were 1/2 gone. When we gained access, the floors were soft and mushy, floorboards are shifted like inches not mms, and the wall paneling was all peeling badly. The kayaks have holes in them, so yes you will sink. We left after 1 night and ate the $. RUN away - do not walk. We love Sea Isle - this house just needs to be torn down and rebuilt!

Not the best
We arrived late evening and only stayed one night. Location was convenient to our cruise departure location, but the place left much to be desired. Cleanliness was less than stellar, but the linens appeared to be okay other than the bed that had random wood pieces in it. Random confetti in various places, food on the couch, hair in the sink, etc. Took photos and sent to the host and got a, "Thank you for letting us know," along with somewhat of an apology, I guess. Responsive, but not very attentive in addressing concerns. Wouldn't recommend.

Great for a quick trip
We just needed a place for 1 night to lay our head and regroup before we got on a cruise. We arrived late night, there were zero lights on. My teen daughter tripped going up the stairs carrying her luggage. There lights in the home were difficult to find. We were exhausted from driving 24 hours and just wanted to go to bed... the bathroom had no fans for the shower and there was literally 1 bathroom for a house that sleeps 10. 😳 veru difficult to navigate! Beds were ok, not great. I wouldn't recommend for more than a few nights due to comfort.

Great Beach House
We really enjoyed our stay. The only downfalls I think need to be addressed is the canal ladder and board loose, almost falling off. Also, one of the kayaks had holes in it and we were unable to use it. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here and we definitely will remember this home for next summer!
