The Nox is a really good corporate hotel. Everything was a expected although I was bemused that one of the bar staff struggled to make me an Irish Coffee (two attempts...)

The hotel was nice for a one-night stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful. It wasn’t centrally located in Galway but a quick 10 minute taxi ride into the city. The receptionist gave us a tip on where the taxi driver should drop us off based on what we were trying to do - which was appreciated! They had a phone dedicated to call a taxi, which was cool, but the taxi we requested ended up picking somebody else up despite giving our room number. We weren’t charged or anything just waited an extra 15 minutes and had to call to request again. The bathroom shower needed to be resealed or replaced as the lining was coming up a bit. The room was clean and decently sized. There was a fish restaurant at the hotel - we didn’t eat there but the lobby does smell like a fish restaurant. Big parking lot and didn’t have any issues with finding a spot.

Large hotel with excellent parking. Room and bed were comfortable with everything we needed. Location was ok - a little difficult to get to first day due to lots of traffic. But it’s not far from downtown. Breakfast was very good - best we had in Ireland!

Liked that the property was walking distance to shopping and the bus pickup. Had a great breakfast. Having said that we were charged twice for our breakfast. I've been communicating by text and sent a copy of my credit card statement but they are not willing to accept they made a mistake.

Just ok
We chose this hotel due to how close it was to downtown Galway. It was just ok, some pros and cons. Biggest con is the lack of AC. Also the layout/design is quite odd. When you get to your rooms it is SO dark. Like it genuinely looks like a horror movie. The actual room was ok. A big pro is the restaurant within; the food was delicious!

Large king size bed was nice but very firm. Need washcloths! No AC & no screens on windows. Had to sleep with curtains open and windows were facing other rooms. Breakfast was expensive.

Most of the staff was friendly, a couple of thwm were unfriendly. The lobby was nice and clean but Our room had black mold on the shower walls, and blood stains on the duvet. Recommend having car if staying here is not very walkable.

This property does not have air condition in the rooms. Many of the hotels in Galway don’t. Just need to know that as in August, it’s a little unpleasant without air.
