My husband and I stayed here for 3 days on our way up to North Carolina. This mountain home had stunning views, comfortable amenities, and a peaceful atmosphere. On all 3 levels, it had decks with a hot tub, fire pit and a fire table - not to mention a cozy fireplace inside, which we truly loved.The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the coffee pot setup and the outdoor TV's. The location, while secluded, was convenient to shopping and many entertainment venues. The host was so helpful before and during the stay. She was quick to respond to any questions.We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun-filled mountain getaway!

Mountain Sunrise - an Appalachian surprise!

The Mountain Sunrise chalet was the perfect home base for our family’s smoky mountain vacation. The property is well maintained and provides numerous activities for adults and kids alike. The location is the perfect distance from town providing privacy and incredible views. We saw bears on the property every day which was really cool. Would definitely stay again!

Good, but not great

While the property had many features, the beds were really hard, so no one got great sleep. I woke up with sore hips several times during the night, which is the core reason for staying anywhere: to get sleep. The roads were perilous with many blind curves, and absolutely no shoulder. Especially at night driving was not easy. Gas fire pits were difficult to light and I have a lot of experience with them they were very tricky to get going. I was expecting more nature and we were in a subdivision and lots of traffic sounds. Saw some of the smokies and a lot of houses. Management was very quick to respond and attentive. Had a number of nice upgrades, but was expecting a lot of birds and fireflies and Mountain View’s and not bright lights from houses below and beside. So it was good, but not great despite a premium price.

Great spring break getaway

We stayed here over spring break and it was very nice. Super close to downtown Gatlinburg but away from too many people. It isn’t quite as secluded as the pictures make it seem, but still worked very well for our family.

Quick getaway

Easy check in and Joyce communicated quickly. The house was as pictured. It can be a little noisy if you have teens. The lower level is easily heard in the bedrooms on the upper level as they are all connected by a center stairway. Kids enjoyed the pool table. We drove by the entrance to complex the first time around. The roads are a little tricky. After a few trips it was easier to navigate the roadways. Close to Piegon Forge and Gatlinburg. The house could use some repairs. The blind in one of the bedrooms was broken and the sink in the bathroom drained slow. There are luggage marks on the walls near the stairway. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.
