With 4 private bedrooms on 3 levels and full baths on the main and lower level with a half bath in the loft, families have plenty of room to spread out. There is spacious parking for at least 4 cars without a steep driveway. Large deck with hot tub and winter views. Leave the sizzle of summer while enjoying shady mountain breezes with occasional sightings of bears. Ideal for adult retreats.


Guest Services at Chalet Village Owners Club: All guests have the use of facilities at the Chalet Village Owners Clubs. The South Club is located less than a mile from Bear Haven. The North Club is located about 1 1/2 miles from Bear Haven. The clubs have outdoor swimming pools, which are open in season which is roughly Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are also game rooms and tennis courts.

Family Vacay in the Smokies
Needs some up keep. Railing is weak around the outside deck. The tin on the roof is exposed and is at head level for young children that could cause major injuries. Needed some cleaning under the furniture and if you have a large group of people, more towels and wash clothes are needed. We had to wash towels .We had a group of 7.

Family Vacation
We had a great time at the cabin. It was the perfect size for my family and my sisters family. We saw a few bears during our week stay (14 total). The rooms worked out well for us. Compared to the other cabins near by it did seem a little dated but that did not bother us. We also liked using the clubhouses for swimming which were nice for our kids ranged 3-11 years old. The downstairs jack and jill bathroom shower stall is small but worked fine. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Great vacation!

Bears bears everywhere!
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. We cooked most all meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer was a helpful perk so we are going home with clean clothes. Our family utilized the hot tub and the pool table as well. We saw bears at least 15 times during our three night stay. They were not aggressive but we kept our distance and just watched from the deck. One bear did try getting in our vehicle but doors were locked and everything was safe. We would highly recommend this cabin for families in the future.

The cabin was clean and spacious and beautiful. There a high chair there for baby, wished there wouldve been a pack n play but it was fine bc hs ealways sleeps with me anyways... i expected 2 tubs but there was only 1. But it was totally fine . Worked out great. We really enjoyed our vacation.

The property was exactly as described. The peaceful setting was perfect for relaxation. The directions to get there were easy to follow. The instructions for the cabin along with the recommendations were helpful. The Wi-Fi eas great, which was so nice after not having service in most of the places we went. We loved being so close to downtown Gatlinburg and all of the hiking trails.

Overall the cabin was clean, but there were a few minor issues. There was a used washrag left hanging on the back of the main bathroomā€™s door, the towel rack in the main bathroom was broken and being pulled from the wall and there was a used tissue on the floor of the master bedroom. We ended up using a box fan in the master bedroom, but one of the other fans did not work and the upstairs bedroom gets very hot. Aside from these minor issues the stay was great. The location was very close to downtown Gatlinburg and easy to get to.

Thanksgiving Getaway
Beautiful place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday! The whole family has a great time and there was a lot of things to do and see. The hot tub was great - clean, working and perfect on a cold night. The pool table brought out the competitive side of the family :) There was plenty of space for the family to have quiet time for themselves. Would definitely recommend others to stay in this cute and cozy cabin! The Christmas decorations were an added bonus!

We had such a blast during our stay - saw bears everyday but one. The communication with the propert manager could not have been more clear and the check-in process was seamless. Even our teenagers had fun! The location was perfect, just a 10 min drive to Gatlinburg and the scenery was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!!

Bear Haven Indeed!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect as it provided quick access to all of the tourist destinations as well as to the National park. The layout was exactly what we were looking for. The deck view was perfect for our mountain getaway. During our 7 night stay we had 39 bear sightings from the deck. The hot tub was great for soaking after our hikes in the mountains. We canā€™t wait to come back!

Wonderful
The cabin was a nice reprieve. It was clean and everything was as described. We seen bears everyday so keep things locked. The property manager was very responsive with questions. Only thing I would change is the mattresses were very firm and Iā€™m not use to it. But it was a three story cabin (basement, main floor, loft) so plenty of room. We loved the pool table and hot tub. You are only 5 min from gatlinburg but far enough out you feel secluded. The neighbors were all extremely friendly. Over all it was a wonderful experience. I will gladly book again.

Not a good place to stay
This property had not been cleaned well. Overall not as it should have been. Property is In need of repairs and maint. work. The deck had not been swept in some time. The table on deck was very dirty. The water in hot tub was not good at all. The chemical balance was way off. There was only a few rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 7 days. We had to go buy more. No dish towels in kitchen. We have stayed in a number of properties over the years and this is the worst we have stayed in.
