Holiday home in El Colmenar, province of Malaga, Andalucia.

Located in the middle of the countryside, this rural property is ideal for unwinding and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristic spots on the Costa del Sol. Here, you will be able to rejoice in the quietness provided by the surrounding fields and by the hills and mountains that envelop the house. This place is ideal for those seeking to recharge the batteries and enjoy some well-deserved holidays.

The house is distributed on two floors, both characterised by a rustic ambience conveyed by the wooden furniture, terracotta floors and interesting memorabilia spread all over the house. On the ground floor, you will find the living space, divided into a lounge area with sofas and a dining table, and the open kitchen. A bathroom with a shower is also available on this floor, as are two of the three bedrooms of the house.

One of the bedrooms is equipped with a 135-cm-wide bed and an en-suite with a bathtub; the other features two twin beds and an en-suite with a shower. The third bedroom is located on the sloping-ceiling first floor: it's furnished with a 135-cm-wide bed and provided with a bathroom with a shower.

The lounge room is equipped with air-con.

The outdoor area is incredibly spacious, which allows the whole family to rejoice in the quietness and sunny weather of Andalucia. You can have your meals outside, thanks to the outdoor dining table, near which you will also find a covered BBQ. The cherry on top, however, is the fabulous private pool, where the whole family can refresh and make the most of the warm summer afternoons.

The access to the property is possible via a 100-mt unpaved lane.

Family holiday in Casa del Tigre, El Colmenar
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in Casa el Tigre. We spent our time doing local mountain sports (e.g. via ferrata). El Colmenar is a small village with limited facilities, but has a useful train station (useful for a day out in Ronda, for example). The owner (Juan) was helpful and very friendly. We'd recommend Casa del Tigre.
