just missing some little things to make it perfect
First the good- absolutely the best set up kitchen in any rental I've stayed in. condiments and gadgets, cutlery and dishes, everything you could want. comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. a bottle of vegetable oil and some condiments go a long way. The bad was more in the way of some minor improvements that would have put it over the top to excellent. The place is set up weirdly, the large tv is way up over the dining room table and invisible from the couch, putting this on a fully articulated arm, or swapping the couch and table makes the living area more functional. The real disappointment was the river access- bank is heavily slanted for canoe pull out, but digging out a flat spot and a little improvement to underbrush or some gravel to make getting in and out easier would be a big upgrade, as well, a large log a few feet out made fishing from the bank pretty impossible. Removing that debris would make it a lot more fishing-friendly. The bank looked too treacherous to try swimming from it with any hope of making back out. all in all, sad I didn't get to use the pretty nifty amenities to their fullest, but the cabin itself is a nice quiet spot and a lovely interior. its worth noting that all kayaks with the cabin are solo pelicans with a 275-pound weight limit. Maybe consider tossing a hot tub out back or something?

Cottage Getaway Perfection
From the minute we pulled up to the place to the minute we left, our stay at the cottage on the river was perfect! We needed a place in the Ashtabula area that was convenient to the wineries, Lake Erie, and on some water, and this property checked all the boxes! We didn’t expect that it would come with such comfortable and livable surroundings. The owner has thought of everything a guest would need or want; the place is neat as a pin inside and out, plenty of clean towels, pillows and bedding, a hot shower with plenty of volume, and a well equipped kitchen. She provided lots of information about the local restaurants and activities in case it was your first trip to beautiful Northeast Ohio. That being said, you could never leave the property and have plenty of things to do. Kayaks for the river which is just down a flight of sturdy steps, several bikes to explore with, a quaint cemetery just a short walk away with lots of 1800s gravestones, and a covered bridge within a quarter of a mile! My favorite part about the outside area was all the seating that is provided - tables on both porches, and benches scattered across the property just where you would want to sit. Our dog, a retriever, found the river within minutes of our arrival and happily paddled in the shallow, calm water. Sharon was easily accessible by phone although we didn’t need a thing! What else can I say - just that we hope to return soon to this place!

Wonderful!
The cottage was just as we hoped it would be. Clean, comfortable, it had everything we needed and getting there was easy, even with a detour due to a road closure. Quiet and peaceful. After exploring the area, it was a relaxing place to return to and sit by the river. Even listening to the rain on the metal roof when it rained on our first night. Highly recommended!!

Excellent overnight
We have stayed in many VRBOs but this kitchen was beautifully organized and i can't think of a thing we needed that was not available. We had family nearby so we did not even have a chance to use the bikes or boats. This home was exceptionally well maintained.

Cute cottage!
The cottage was immaculate and adorable, exactly as advertised. The owner was very responsive and it was overall a positive stay. It's close to the Spire Institute, which was key as we were in for A-10 swim championships to see our daughter compete. I'd recommend it! The only issue I had was that the price listed is far from the actual price...Yes, we brought our dog so knew we'd have an additional fee, but there were other additional fees that caused the price to be about double the advertised price. Aside from that, I highly recommend.
