Le GƮte des Violettes is sitatuated a short walk from the village of Ger. With a few other houses and a farm next door. Ger boasts a boulangerie, village shop and a bar. Ger is a quick drive to larger villages and towns: Barenton, Mortain, Sourdeval, Vire, Flers, and the medieval Domfront are all worth a visit. There is a cycle/walking path that goes from Domfront through Barenton right the way to Mont St Michel!
Right on the edge of a national park the walking and cycling is beautiful. Suisse Normandie is a short drive away, with stunning views, and lots of outdoor/water activities. Fosse Arthour is an easy 10 minute drive and well well worth it. There's also a nice restaurant there we recommend.
Mont St Michel (a must see) is less than an hour away, Bayeux and the WWII beaches are just over an hour away. Most of the Normandie ferry ports are about an hour, Calais is about 4 hours with toll roads (approx ā¬30 per car each way).
The area is stunning, the right amount of rural, the house is beautiful and comfortable.
Come enjoy our home as much as we do
