Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Crosshill House, Glasgow was a terrible stay. From first appearance the building is dilapidated in the middle, like it has undergone a fire or something. There is no-one at reception past 9.30pm, the staff sat in a room where they could see incoming visitors but the reception lights are off and doors locked - not very welcoming. The staff took a photo of my driving licence on arrival, this didn't feel comfortable or professional.
Our room was dirty, the bedding was clean but the remote, walls, door handles, carpet , surfaces all felt grubby. I went over the room with Dettol wipes.
The window holders were broken and windows difficult to open. The bathroom was also run down and unclean. Cleaning staff were in our room each day we were out, although didn't give new towels or bedding. They made the bed, moved all our stuff but the room didn't feel any cleaner. When we arrived back on our last day our door had been left open by house keeping staff. Saff seemed disinterested when advised. Staff appeared from a storage container to the side of the building - very strange.
There was a kettle, but the cups were old and stained and a desert spoon rather than tea spoon available.
No breakfast facilities. Not even to get a glass of milk. Nearest shop a few minutes away.
Short walk to train station for access to Glasgow city centre. I'd not stay here again! I suggest that Expedia remove Crosshill House from there accommodation offers. Very disappointed.
