Problem with the Drains
We paid well over the odds due to it being a concert night in Glasgow. 2.5 times their average nightly rate. Room was basic, but stunk of sewage, when we compained we were advised there was no other rooms available. After we advised that we would not be staying they miraculously found an alternative room and we could take that or contact expedia for a refund. By this point my wife was upset and we chose not to stay. Staff were pretty good and not sure they could have done anything about the smelly rooms, it seemed to be a problem with the drains rather than a problem with the individual rooms. Had they initially offered a change of room we may well have chosen to stay, but it was only when theyvwere really pushed that they offered any alternative.

The property was easy to find with plenty of free parking. Room was small, but adequate for our needs. Room was clean and tidy but painted a rather ghastly green colour. The lifts were not working which was annoying and would have been quite dangerous if we had had small children with us.

Room was freezing, climate control unit made little difference even on full fan at 30 degrees. Staff provided a plug-in heater which helped a little. Water from the sink tap was also freezing cold despite running it for ages. Thankfully we got hot water from the shower. Beds were comfy enough and reception staff friendly and welcoming. Handy location for a gig at the Hydro but wouldn't necessarily rush back.

I’ve stayed many times and always decent the housekeeping is my only grumble there noisey as heck and don’t seem to care how noiesey they are I’ve had them walk in hours before check out before I don’t understand how they can’t find out what rooms are free to clean off there boss I had 2 girls outside my room at 1pm when I went to nip out one said to me you do realise checkouts 12pm and I had to explain I’d payed for a late check out 2pm they should know that as one of the girls was a receptionist I think they were about to chap my door very strange to open door to staff itching for you to leave

Long weekend to see family. Ibis is a good budget hotel in a fairly central position. 15 minutes walk from the city centre, 25 from the Hydro. Good restaurants in the quay area and it is next to the river which made for nice walks

Think of a budget hotel, then it’s even worse than that! Rooms were tiny, strange arrangements with shower and toilet…smallest tv, no cups/glasses etc in room. Breakfast wasn’t great, saw a few people going to Greggs and eating that instead. Location is good but unfortunately that’s about it.
