Loved our stay at this really cool historic hotel. It was like stepping back to a simpler time. Lots of patina and vintage decor that added to the experience.

Had to wait for staff to get to the front desk at normal check in time of 500pm and this person enjoyed eating a slice of pizza all during my check in. Having been in the hospitality business, I felt this wasn't appropriate. Otherwise, hotel was clean and convenient for my needs.

Get out of the Rain
Was in Miles City camping for the Horse races and a thunderstorm put a damper in my plans to pitch a tent. Found this place to get out of the rain and wind. Lot of history in this cute place. I am planning on bring my wife next year and staying here for my whole stay.

Beautiful unique old hotel. We stayed there because of loving history. The staff person was cordial but had no knowledge of the history. The hotel had many open, nice rooms, but we were given a room that had water damaged ceiling with ceiling parts hanging down, water damaged, discolored wall paper, not clean.

Stepping back in time.
I really liked our stay because i liked the idea of staying in a place with old original fixtures. Hotels.com could have described the rooms and amenities better. We had a room with shared bathroom. This may not sit well with some people who are more picky.

Hidden gem
I have been staying at the Kempton for several years now. As a single, older woman, I have always felt safe and comfortable. The hotel is so charming, decorated in old western motif. I was a little taken back this trip, when I found out the pet fee had been raised to $35, which is about half of what the room costs. I understand that some people can ruin it for others and this won’t stop me from staying there.

I am rating this place 5 stars because it was exactly what we needed. Inexpensive, convenient, comfortable, friendly staff and owner. It is a historic property with plenty of old history to look at. It is not a high end luxury place by any means. If you are looking for that keep looking. Don’t book this place and expect to get luxury at this reasonable cost. You get what you pay for! I will definitely stay here again. Like I said exactly what I was looking for! Oh, and incredibly good food across the street. Just a great little town. Reminded me of where I grew up.

This is a historic hotel over 120 years old. The hotel is mostly original with some updates in the bathroom. Since it is older the room size was naturally smaller than today’s standard. I enjoyed the antiques and antique furniture in the rooms and it reminded me of times got by. I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the hotel for its historic value.
