Cathy and Bruce were extremely hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast was top-notch and the rooms were spacious and clean. The dry sauna outside and the hot tub were a great way to end the evening. We would highly recommend.

A beautiful home and the rooms are very nice (we saw 3 of the 4). Amenities were top notch - we skied and then used the hot tub and it was heaven! The hosts were very friendly, lovely to chat with, unobtrusive but very available and accommodating. And the breakfasts!! OMG - to die for. Highly recommend.

Most Amazing Weekend Getaway
This was the best VRBO/ Air BnB experience we have had. The listing was very accurate and all the amenities we were working and available for use. Cathy's breakfast was above and beyond, some of the best breakfast foods I have ever had. And Bruce worked hard to keep the roads, walkways, driveway clear of snow and ice so we got get to and from town safely. There is nothing I would change about this property or experience. Can't wait to go back!

Exceeded Expectations!!
Cathy and Bruce are outstanding hosts. The accommodations were exceptional. We enjoyed the spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and an amazing en-suite with jacuzzi tub. Relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking was great. We appreciated Cathy and Bruceā€™s attention to detail to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The homemade breakfasts were exceptional. We would highly recommend staying at Golden Acres Mountain Lodge. Thanks Cathy and Bruce!

Extraordinary B&B, worthy of 6 stars!
Just as pictures can't fully capture the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, words can't adequately convey what a treat it was to stay at Bruce & Cathy's mountain lodge. They are consummate hosts, providing just about everything you can think of for your comfort and happy to help you in any way they can. The lodge they have built is simply incredible, inside and out. It is decorated with warmth and flair and filled with unique touches, sparing no expense. Cathy's gourmet breakfasts are to die for and Bruce's cowboy breakfast is outstanding as well. Best to forget the diet and just enjoy! The lodge is centrally located to six national parks, offering day trips in every direction. However, magnificent scenery and wildlife viewing is right at hand too so you don't have to go far. There are also some excellent restaurants in the area. We thank Bruce and Cathy (and their friend Zane who was visiting) for a truly unforgettable vacation. We will continue to rave about it to our friends. Next time we'll bring swimsuits to try the hot tub and the sauna!

Luxury in the mountains
Cathy and Bruce have built a beautiful home. They have done everything to make us feel papered with comfy beds, quality linens, great place to relax in the family room with fires in the wood burning stove, hot tub and sauna. Cathy loves to cook and makes every morning a special start to the day. We liked Golden because it got us out of the crowds with access to the parks.

Clean, quiet, beautiful house and scenery. Nicest hosts, very helpful. Best breakfast around!
Cathy and Bruce have put together an amazing bed and breakfast experience at their Golden Acres Lodge. The attention to detail is incredible, and applies to everything from room cleanliness and decor to the breakfast options and communication. Our stay here far surpassed our expectations in the most positive way, and we plan on recommending to family and friends and hopefully returning ourselves. This is the kind of place worth planning your trip around!

Fantastic Mountain Retreat!
As a family we are relatively well traveled and have stayed in a variety of accommodations over the years and we can say without a doubt the Golden Acres Mountain Lodge ranks at the top. Cathy and Bruce have created a top notch, stunning, memorable, and comfortable retreat close to Golden, BC and just a short hop up to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. We stayed in the main lodge, the loft is a separate building, and access to your room and shared great room are just a few short steps from your parking spot. The well appointed suite is very large, more than 600 sq/ft with a private full master bath, comfortable bedding, couch (which doubles as a pull out and worked well for our children), and chairs to sit and read, relax, etc after a full day exploring the area. The bedroom exits into a large shared space (with one other room on the same level), with a small but well stocked kitchenette (refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, etc.), multiple comfortable couches, wood fireplace, eating space and a TV with a huge selection of movies (in addition to satellite TV). You could not ask for a more comfortable space to spend the evening relaxing, and that's before you get to the hot tub! And . . . each morning comes with a fantastic, carefully prepared breakfast. In short, wow! The breakfast was plentiful, delicious, prepared and presented with much thought. Bruce and Cathy are personable, caring, and excellent hosts. Their accommodations are top notch and would highly recommend this to anyone coming through the area, you'll not regret your choice.
