Dirty Place
While check-in and location were great, we found a few piles of animal feces in the upstairs, the showers were not cleaned and had hairs on them, and all of the rooms were not vacuumed and trash was not disposed of. Upon request to have someone clean the place, we were told that it would have to be the next day. We did not want to stay in a place that had feces on the floor and had clearly not been cleaned, so we were forced to book another hotel in the area after the management advised there was no place to relocate us to. They also did not want to reimburse us for the stays that we had to pay for. While the cleaning fee was reimbursed, we still did not have any way to spend time with our family together which we were desperately needing. Overall the experience was awful, I would not recommend this property manager Vacasa and their listings to ANYONE. You requested a review, here it is. The person that did come the next day to clean was very kind and apologized greatly for the issues we experienced.

Tons of beds
Great cabin for large family, lots of beds. Was called before arriving that hot tub was deep cleaned and may not be hot upon arriving, but it was not deep cleaned. It was cloudy and we found some food items like pineapple pieces in it. Location to town is great but it sits between to other cabins VERY closely. Overall a great place for a large family looking to have some fun in Govy and don’t mind close proximity to others. Love it is pet friendly as well!

Family Reunion
There were 33 of us staying between two homes in Government Camp. Our home had 15 people who stayed there. The other home had 18 people staying there. We were able to get together for part of our meals. We all did activities together in the daytime. Alpine Slides one day and the Columbia Gorge another day. Lots of fun and great memories!

Family gathering for a wedding at ski bowl
We were 11 family members of 3 generations. The house was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and beds were all comfortable. I had the lovely upstairs room with balcony. My only (minor) complaint was the sound of traffic, but that is pretty much true anywhere in government camp. Family all loved the hot tub on the deck which was clean and lovely. Great house for large groups!

Awesome family spot
We filled up this great house with family from ages 3-75 and had an awesome stay. The house is so well stocked in the kitchen which I find is rare for a rental. Had everything we needed and then some for all of the cooking we did for our big group. We would have liked more towels and sheets available but that was a minor inconvenience. The house was an easy walk to the commercial area of Government Camp and was a 10 minute drive Trillium Lake where we spent each day. Had a great time.

Roomy, fun, close to everything
We had such a great time here, the king beds were particularly comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, we loved being able to walk down to restaurants, and having the govy general store across the way was so convenient. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large party, enough bathrooms for that many people too. Contactless check-in was so smooth and yeah, we had no problems at all!

Epic Location and Stay
Our stay in the chalet was excellent and would recommend it to families and groups. We were only a family of four but there is so much space for multiple families. Great accommodations, well stocked, and great communication from Vacasa! The ultimate for me is the proximity to bike trails dropping down Mt Hood into town. I rode in Timberline Bike Park all day and was able to take bike trail all the way down the mountain into Government Camp right to our doorstep at the chalet.

Snowboarding family fun
This house so perfect for our Hugh family and our fur babies! The hot tub was all ready to go when we got there from the mountain. The table fit everyone at the same time. The beds were huge and comfortable. We walked into town and got lunch one day. I will book this house again and recommend this to anyone

Great Gathering House
In times of COVID you can spread out in this house! It’s huge! There are 4 private bedrooms with a downstairs and and extra kitchen. Our bubble group was able to s p r e a d out! It can sleep 18 - just be aware that the other beds are IN those 4 bedrooms when planning. Kitchen is well stocked. You can walk to the Govy-General down the hill if you need anything. Hot Tub was awesome. And the house is well loved and used so you don’t feel like you can’t touch anything. It’s warm and comfy too. We spent a lot of time around the kitchen table. We think it could squeeze 18 very fit people. :). We were also outside most of the time. Hiked 25 miles in the course of 3 days. Some trails are right down the hill!

Location is fantastic
Top of bunk beds have no rail. Very concerning. Kitchen table has a weird sticky lacquer. All glasses/cups stick to it. Other than that we had a fantastic time. Location to the Taco Shop, Mt Hood brewery and trails was great. Hiise definitely needs a little love and upgrading but did the trick.
