Lovingly restored townhouse in the heart of the historical quarter of Granada, the Albayzín. Ideal for a romantic self-catering holiday. Located on cobbled walking lanes in the midst of the historic district, this cosy home enjoys uninterrupted views of the Alhambra from the terrace, as well as vistas of the Sacromonte valley beyond from the balcony in the lounge. A great choice.
This apartment is exceptionally well located and has a fantastic, frontal view of the Alhambra. It well restored, charming, and clean, still giving you the feeling of old Granada.

Fantastic authentic Spanish house
An exceptionally warm welcome from the lovely Nadia, the local contact. The house has a great location and has everything you could possibly need. Amazing view of the Alhambra from the balcony. One bedroom is noisy to the early hours as is adjacent to a public square but a very all downside to a wonderful stay

Incredible Granada
We really enjoyed our stay in this old house in the Albaicin - old Granada. We loved sitting on the roof terrace, taking in the views of the Alhambra as the lighting changed. Nadia was very helpful and gave us a lot of information. The place had everything we needed, and was comfortable. We were able to walk to good restaurants and wonderful view spots and other sights. Two things for visitors to be aware of: every room in the house is on a different floor, so we had to go up and down stairs constantly. Also it was easy to get lost in this area of winding alleys and streets. There is no access to the house by car, only on foot. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Granada!

This house was absolutely lovely - wonderful roof top terrace with great view of the Alhambra - however, the oven takes a lot of time to cook things because the oven doesn't shut properly the fuse struggled to cope with more than electrical appliances on at one time. The hostess was helpful about taxis and how to leave the house and how to unblock a drain, but she was concerned about how we would manage the house because we were young clients. We were in fact trustworthy. Overall it was really lovely in the old town.

Fabulous special house!
This is a fantastic unique authentic property with great atmosphere reflecting the vibrant historic neighbourhood. We felt so lucky to be there. The house is so well equipped it was a real home from home! The icing on the cake is the roof terrace where we spent a lot of time - sunny even in November! Nadia was so helpful and kind and Maurice very responsive. We couldn’t have wished for more- we will be back!

Great location, great views
We had a wonderful stay at your lovely town house in the Albaicin. The views of the Alhambra from the balcony and the roof terrace were fabulous. We were across the street from a popular viewpoint so there was some sounds coming from there but that is to be expected if you stay in the historic center. Our bedroom at the back of the house was always quiet. The house was clean and well stocked with everything needed. Though we had a transit pass, we never used it. We walked everywhere, including to the Alhambra, about a 20 minute walk from the house. You need to be able to do stairs if you stay in the Albaicin. Communication with Maurice the owner was prompt and responsive. Nadia, our host, was a gem. She told us the best place to park prior to arrival, showed us the house, and helped arrange a cab to the airport at check out. Thanks very much Nadia!

We fell in love with this place!!
My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Maurice! The view of the Alhambra and the old city is breathtaking! We enjoyed the rooftop terrace multiple times each day. We loved staying in this beautiful, updated historical home. It felt spacious and cozy at the same time, was in the perfect location (in the old town, but right next to the new town), and had all the amenities we needed. As others have noted, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times, but both my friend and I were able to finish our work for the week (we work remotely). Nadia was a gracious and responsive host. We would love to return again and again!!

Great value
This place provides excellent value for the price. Large apartment with some really nice features including the rooftop patio, laundry, etc. Beds were very comfortable. Some reviews complain about the noise from the park across the lane (on the side of the kitchen and one bedroom). While we were aware of the presence of people there during the evening, the sound did not extend into the night and our sleep. Effectively this was a non-issue. The location was an excellent tradeoff between proximity to the main plaza and restaurants, etc. versus being high enough up the hill to enjoy the great view of the Alhambra. Getting a location higher up the hill just means a more difficult hike / walk every time you want to return home. Minor opportunities for improvement: the WIFI strength / range did not extend to the whole apartment (e.g. the bedrooms) and could only be accessed near the unit in the living room. Also the hot water for the shower only got to luke warm temperature. But overall our stay was just excellent and I would rate this the best value of all of my rentals in Spain. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful!
We had a really wonderful stay at this house. Perfectly located and nice and spacious (which we weren't expecting) with a lovely little terrace at the top. The flights of stairs weren't difficult - all of Granada is steep inclines so this didn't feel any different! The stairs may just be a struggle for those with young children or anyone who finds it difficult to climb stairs. Many reviews talked about the noise from the crowds on the mirador, just outside the house. While it could get a little noisy it never disrupted our sleep (it was nosiest in the morning when we were getting ready). We would be out the whole day though until late at night, so can't really advise on the noise levels at other times. The best thing about the property was Nadia - she was so incredibly helpful and friendly, and answered all our questions about Granada (not just the house!) Thank you Nadia for making our stay so wonderful!

Great location, lots of steps
This unit is in a wonderful location for doing the sites of Granada. It is Well equipped and we did cook some meals there. The Terrace up on top is fun too. We greatly appreciated the washing machine too. But there are many steps to get there and many steps inside the unit.

The property was really nice, had all the essentials that you need for your stay. Lots of blankets etc that in December even though the house has heating it was still quite cold. The hot water also ran out in the shower only after 1 other person taking a shower .The place itself was very clean and Nadia was really friendly and there to help. Would stay there again as it has amazing views and perfect location

Great character flat in the old Moorish quarter.
This is a great flat in the Albayzin quarter. The flat feels like the Albayzin and thats a good thing. This is the best part of Granada for strolling, eating and viewpoints of the Alhambra. The flat is clean and comfortable but has many levels (i.e. lots of stairs). For this reason I would not recommend it for children. Way up top is a lovely terrace with magnificent views of the Alhambra. Nadia, the agent, is a lovely person, very easy to deal with. I'd stay there again.

Cute historic house in the lively Albaizin
(1)Nadia the property manager was super helpful and friendly. (2) Yes, people hang out there at night but it's a city! They were not threatening or anything and it didn't bother us. (3) it is a historic house, that being said the renovation are really nice and wifi worked well. (4) You can park in nearby St. Agustin garage for 25 euros per night. We had a lovely time and would stay there again!

Noisy due to the park next door that attracts teenagers who are loud until 2 a.m. every night.
It's too bad about the noisy parties next door, it should be a nice place to relax in a really cool neighborhood. We like Granada, it's fun and a lot to do with the different cultures and distinctly different neighborhoods.

Decent House in the Albaicin, with some drawbacks
I enjoyed the stay at this place, overall. It is relatively easy to get to. You should know that most of the Albaicin has no car access. This house was low enough that it wasn't a horrible climb (just one stairway if you can convince a taxi driver to drop you off on San Juan de Los Reyes, a narrow street below). Still, those with lots of luggage will wish they'd packed lighter. Our host Nadia was brilliant -- very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The house is spread out over seven (yes, seven) levels. Every room is on a different floor. It is very well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need, including coffee and tea making facilities. Now for the downsides: the internet was spotty the first day, but Nadia got it sorted. A repeater / booster is now helping the situation. The biggest drawback, however, was the noise. The lovely Mirador across from the house is frequented by hippies, ne'er-do-wells, rapscallions, and vagabonds. The windows to the house are of the older type and cannot compete with the noise of the carousing from across the street (also, insulation at the eaves to the kitchen would aid the matter). The good news is that the police usually come at midnight and drive everyone out. The bedroom in the inner part of the house is better isolated, and more comfortable. The terrace is nice, with a little corner that is incredible. Most of the terrace has a great view of the Albaicin, and the Generalife and the Sacromonte. The little corner at the end has full views of the Alhambra. Settle in there with a tinto de verano, and enjoy all that this charming apartment has to offer.

Fantastic medieval apartment in the heart of Granada
Extremely pleased with our stay. The apartment has an authentic, medieval feel and is located near the river just below the Alhambra. A square-spiral staircase leads from the entryway at the bottom, past bedrooms and bath at various levels up to a dining/family room. A balcony there provides a great view up the valley. A small staircase leads on to a well appointed kitchen. Beyond that, another small set of stairs leads to the roof, from which you have perfect view of the Alhambra. The layout of the property is really cool: a vertical apartment of five small levels. Very cozy and pleasant. Nadia, our host, was most gracious. We met her at a cafe which was fairly close to the apartment. If you are arriving by car, like us, do not attempt to drive to the apartment! (or cafe meeting spot) There is no parking nearby and a wrong turn can send you on a near-infinite tour of medieval Granada!. Park in the nearest garage and walk! (This may be obvious to many, but hey we're Americans). The apartment is minutes from the main square, 15-20 minutes to the Alhambra, and a good starting point for exploring old Granada in any direction (all times for walking). Nadia took the time to orient us and point out places of interest and practical amenities. We ran into her many times as she and her family frequent the area.

lovely stay in the heart of Granada
Although it was my first time in Granada I really enjoyed the stay. The flat was very nice, located in the heart of old Granada area. From the rooftop you can see the Alhambra. in the night the view has priceless. Although it is difficult to access to the area by car, you can leave it around and the go by walk. It is plenty of places around. Nadia was our host, she was very friendly. She provided us maps and tips about what to visit and so on. I would highly recommend this apartment to those who want to spend a few days in this beautiful city.

Schön restauriertes altes Haus in Albayzín. Es hat alles, was man braucht. Einmaliger Blick zur Alhambra von der Dachterasse. Der Warmwasserboiler in der Küche ist leider defekt und auf der Dachterasse gibt es keinen Sonnenschirm.
