This hotel was in a perfect location! We have watched the National Lampoon’s Vacation movie so many times and have always thought it would be fun to stay here and it was outstanding! The room was great and it was so wonderful to literally walk out of the hotel and be standing at the Grand Canyon! Highly recommend!

We loved this incredible historic place. However, the air conditioner sounded like it could break down at any minute and was EXTREMELY loud, making it hard to sleep without earplugs.

Loved the property..no issues with room..it was adequate for me...if you're expecting a modern room...you need to consider that this is the oldest hotel on the Grand Canyon.. enjoy the history and take it in..enjoy it

It was amazing to stay in a rustic lodge on the rim of the Grand Canyon. If you are going to enjoy the sights and embrace the scenery than this is the place to stay. The hotel is over 100 years old and possesses the rustic charm from that period.

We stayed for two nights In July 2024 and loved every moment. The hotel is in the perfect position to explore the Grand Canyon. But please do not expect it to be ultra-modern. The staff are excellent and the restaurant was exceptional. No problem getting a reservation. Well done El Tovar

The place is great, beautyful viewing of the South Rim Grand Canyou. The only issue was at the lounge, the older waiter had an issue, not very pleasant

Room is tired. AC extremely loud— woke me up every time it kicked on. Room is musty; with this lack of humidity, I’m not sure how it could be musty, but it is. Small, small room. The only thing going for this place is its location on the rim.
