So convenient-walk outside and there is the canyon at any time of the day! Rooms were comfortable and shower had nice pressure and had a bar for safety. Could walk to restaurants. Very quiet. If you can, go the week after Thanksgiving-not many tourists!

we stayed only 2 days 2 nights. the property was right on the rim and that is the best thing I can say. we stayed on floor 1 and there was constant (and I mean constant) heavy walking upstairs, lots of noise outside window. Property WIFI was unusable because it would work and then it wouldnt, back and forth you never knew. had to rely on cell service which wasnt always strong. Sheets felt itchy. just overall uncomfortable. we had to leave property to access take out food in the evening.

Given how well thought out and beautiful Mary Colter building are this building was a bit of an aberration. The room itself was ok but the building itself completely lacked her amazing imagination and her eye for detail. Also parking was limited and we had to walk our luggage quite a ways to get to it. I would not book there again .

I like the fact that it's inside the historic village so it was very convenient for us. The parking was somewhat of a challenge for us since we arrived at the hotel after dusk.

Had a partial view of the Canyon and a full view of a dead tree completely blocking a prime view room. just doesn't make sense to have a dead tree blocking the perfect view of the canyon for a quite a few rooms. A good tree trim is in order at the thunderbird lodge .The Staff was great i must say.

Need better parking
The only downfall was the parking is horrible. Anyone can park outside of the hotel and so it was very very hard to find a parking spot. They need to have designated parking for people who stay at the lodge.

The location is fantastic. The Lodge itself is dated, but we expected that. You are steps away from the Canyon. The parking is terrible. People stalk spaces all day. First night we walked over a mile to the hotel.
