Big and comfortable room
We really liked this hotel. The room was big and comfortable, and it was mostly quiet. I did notice some rust and miscoloring in the bathtub, but it wasn't too much and didn't bother us, although I still wanted to mention it. They had free breakfast and a pool, which was nice even though we didn't have the time and energy to check that out this time around. Overall we had a good stay and would definitely stay here again in the future if we're back in the area.

I called down to the front desk to ask how to get the air to turn on and was told that the air didn’t work in that room and there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if I could get a fan and they said no. I complained to the front desk the next morning and they gave me the managers number and I was told she would call me. It has been two days now and I called her and left a message and no call back. Not happy with the stay at all.

Tv didnt work, neither did the staff
My tv would not work in the room, it was a cable issue. The 2nd shift front desk attendent said I could switch rooms. After I couldnt get it to work I went back to front desk. The night attendent was on now and told me i could not switch rooms (it was clearly not full) and maintenence will be there sometime tomorrow. When I asked anything she would just repeat that louder and louder. So I went back to my quiet room packed up and left. Other than that encounter as always as nice clean room.

This was the worst hotel stay in a long time. The air conditioning didn't work, the elevator was broken for two days, the coffee server was broken, no maid service one day. Good location for our needs, clean hotel just a bad stay.

Floors in the room were sticky, and that’s on carpet. Pulled out sheets for the fold out couch and there was a sizeable black mark in the middle. The replacement had pen marks. The pool had sediment or dirt on the bottom of the deep end while the hot tub was boarded up and the sauna decommissioned. The elevator also stopped working within the 13 hours we were there.

The room furniture was beat up, TV remote didn’t work and the receptionist at the front desk was of no help. The one wall was covered in what looked like Soda spray and dust, and only half the electrical outlets worked.

Terrible experience checking in; staff was on the phone for 10 minutes while we just stood there. Room was in poor shape. Refrigerator was not working, tv didn’t work, carpets were stained, curtains were torn, bathroom was filthy. Elevator broke while we were there. Breakfast was out of several items including the coffee machine being broke. Very disappointing stay. We will not stay in Comfort Suite properties again.

Grand Rapids south of the city
Overall, pretty good hotel. Pros: location right off highway, gas station/food options nearby, shower great pressure (could use an updated shower head though), spacious room, nice lobby, dining area, ample parking. Cons: bath sink weak pressure, dated decor (brighter colors please), weak breakfast options (but it was FREE), slightly stained carpet. Again, not bad but could use a little work. Overall good, not great hotel

I always visit this area but this was the first time I stayed at this property because my usual hotel was booked. I would definitely stay again. It was in a quiet, safe are. One exit away from the outlet mall. The free breakfast was decent with a lot of variety. The facility was clean and well maintained and the rooms were very spacious with a lot of amenities, refrigerator, microwave and seating area in room.
