The staff was nice. I won't use this site to book if we stay again. We had the squeeky bed in the diagonal room. The other rooms looked better. Book with them. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was great, with made to order eggs. Cooked correctly. (That's hard to find) No fan I guess and so that means open windows. Summer can get hot!

This place is a MUST
We stayed 4 nights and booked dinner and breakfast as well. It was great! The hotel's chef made delicious dishes every day and all the other stuff were very nice and kind and help with all our special needs. Not to mention the great view from the balcony... We are definitely recommending to stay here!

A perfect place.
Hotel Dorfer was absolutely perfect! The hotel is a little out there but trust me itā€™s worth it.They donā€™t speak a lot of English but everyone is simply amazing and know how to communicate. The room we had was for 3 people and had 2 seperate bedrooms and a stunning vieW. The breakfast was also amazing with a good variety of jams,cheeses and cereals. We were also asked if we wanted eggs. Amazing stay.

One of my best hotel experiences ever
I cannot begin to explain how much I love this place. The hotel, the food, the family which owns it, the entire staff, and the town are all just amazing. There is nothing 5he6 wouldnā€™t do to make my stay more comfortable. The views are unbelievable and I cannot wait to return to the special place in the mountains.

Favorite Spot in the Alps
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Dorfer. The view was even better than the pictures, and the staff was great. We were the only foreigners there, and felt like we'd stumbled on a gem. There were only a few rooms, so it was cozy. A central location to several great outdoor sights within a 30 minute drive.

Great setting and breakfast!
We stayed at the Hotel Dorfer for two nights and enjoyed the delightful breakfast spread each morning which included freshly made ham and eggs. If you stay for dinner try the apricot schnapps, it's really quite good! The family was accommodating and even though we spoke only English we felt very comfortable and welcomed. I would love to visit the Hotel Dorfer again!

Great location to explore Ski AmadƩ
We have just returned to the UK after spending 1 week at the Pension Dorfer. I hope that more people from the UK will discover this fabulous Pension which is very well located for the Ski AmadƩ area. There is a skibus stop immediately outside the pension which gives you access to the Grossarl/Dorfgastein area and also to Alpendorf/Wagrain/Flachau area. We didn't need to use the bus as we had a car and with this we managed to ski in a different area every day. You can easily drive to the Schladming area which is within 1 hour. The pension itself offers very comfortable and modern rooms with stunning views of the Grossarl valley. The quality and quantity of food is excellent (I gained 3 kilos in the week!) for breakfast there is a good continental buffet and you can have eggs and sausages cooked as well if you like. The evening dinner is 4 course, and includes a salad buffet followed by soup and then a choice of 3 main dishes (Usually 1 meat, 1 fish & 1 vegetarian option), to finish there is a choice of dessert or schnapps! The staff are very friendly and overall there is nothing we can fault about the Pension Dorfer. We look forward to returning again in the future.

SkĆøn familieferie pĆ„ Hotel Dorfer
Vi var afsted som familie 2 voksne og 2 bĆørn (3 og 5 Ć„r) i 7 dage i juli, men forlƦngede med en ekstra dag, da vi havde det rigtig godt pĆ„ Hotel Dorfer. Der var rigtig venlig service og vi var imponerede over, hvor lƦkker maden var. Aftensmad (inkluderet) bestod af en salatbuffet, dagens suppe 3 slags hovedretter typisk, kĆød, fisk eller vegetar og dagens dessert eller is. Morgenmaden var ogsĆ„ lƦkker, og det var muligt at kĆøbe frokost retter til meget fair pris. Beliggenheden er rigtig fin 10 min fra Alpendorf - Geisterberg, hvor der masser af legerum for bĆørn, og indenfor en time fra flere andre bjerge, isgrotter, zell am see, Salzburg mv. altsĆ„ masser at give sig til. VƦrelserne var store og i god stand og blev daglig rengjort. Poolen var ok, og god plads selv da der var flest menesker. Der var desuden kaniner og geder man kunne klappe, samt en lille legeplads og trampolin. Eneste negative var at der manglede mere indendĆørs legeomrĆ„de, hvis vejret er dĆ„rligt og sĆ„ var det trƦlst nĆ„r folk rĆøg nedenfor lejligheden sĆ„ rĆøgen blƦste ind pĆ„ vƦrelset. Stor anbefaling af Hotel Dorfer herfra og burde vƦre et 4 stjerners hotel.

Best Hotel in Tirol
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Dorfer. Everyone we had contact with was so friendly and helpful. You can see that this family business puts a lot of thought in it and are not shy to do a little extra for theyr guests. Stunning location, clean, great food and very friendly stuff. It was by far our best stay in Tirol and my husband and I were sad that we couldnā€™t stay longer.
