The pictures online make this place look great. Our room was on ground level. The window screens have holes in them. 1 window didnā€™t lock in our room. The room smelt very musty. We went across the street to buy a fan to move air around, and a glade plug in. The shower wall had a hole in it, looks like someone punched it. If you want to have the windows open, they would not stay open. Definitely would not want to have the window open. The halls in the building are not well lite, carpet is old and stained. There was an old water line sticking up out of the floor in 1 hall. We arrived on a Friday evening 10/4/24. Booked a room with the Jucuzzi tub/room for 2 nights. I was told that those were all booked, even though that was the room I booked. Enough said about our 2 night stay, we stayed for a total of 10 hours and left.

The coffee maker in the room had a part missing, there was mold along the floor edge of the bathtub, there was no breakfast available. Parking was very crowded and not convenient to our room. The pillows were very mushy and not comfortable. The only positive aspect was it was close to everything that we were doing during our stay.

We asked for the sheets to be changed. We left for the day. When we returned in the evening, new sheets were just left in the room, old sheets still on bed, we had to change ourselves.

Next time i will pay twice as much to stay at a place ten times better. I should have known that although this was not a cheap hotel, it was much less than nicer hotels in the area. The bed was comfortable, I'll give it that, but it was dirty, the sink was clogged (yuck!!) and the bathtub wall had a hole in it. There were bugs in the bathroom and it was just a very old place. If you don't care about stuff like that, then stay there. I won't be going back... I will say that the guy at the front desk was kind and helpful.

The staff was very polite but I will say it took me to attempts before directions to the breakfast were offered to me I had to ask how do I get to the breakfast. I should remember to be more specific. I will say I wasn't expecting the most amazing and luxurious soap and shampoos in the room but the tiny bar soap and the shampoo both smelled as if they were created in a chemical vat.. they did not smell good! The final issue that I had when I got out of the shower the " clean towel " smelled like it was not clean. All of the other towels did but I was unlucky to pick up one that smelled as if it had not been washed! I found this rather disturbing. The breakfast was good! I'm not totally ragging on the place but I think there are a few points that need to be taken care of.

I made the reservation primarily because the website advertised the property had a gym. IT DID NOT !! This is nothing but FALSE ADVERTISING! I am inclined to send a note to the AG of the state of Connecticut describing this unlawful behavior. The corruption/falsehoods in this country needs to stop!
