Nice facility. Very clean room and excellent bathroom and mattresses and sheets. Neighborhood was a little blah, but easily within walking distance of town center and harbor. Basic building. Classic Icelandic concrete boxes. No staff on property, nor at front desk. No lobby to speak of. Decent easy place to rest and refresh, parking right out front and great view of Snelllness mountain (Game of Thrones). Great value for your dollar, I recommend it

The setting is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. Having the kitchen facilities was great—we were able to prepare breakfast and were given a voucher for a free coffee at a wonderful place down the street. All in all, an excellent stay!

Rooms are very tiny, as the hotel is quite literally an old post office. There isn't really a front desk; you call a number and get a code to get in. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and clean.

The Old Post office was perfect! The views are amazing and it is a great kickoff location for touring the peninsula. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff was kind and helpful. Self check in was quick and hassle free. Next time I am in the area we will stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nicely renovated bathroom, comfortable bed, warm central heating when the weather is 4°. The share kitchen facilities are excellent with everything you could want even though I only used it for breakfast. Parking right outside. Quiet at this time of year so not sure how quiet the room would be from traffic noise at peak time. The only noise is from other guests.

Bare Bones
About as bare bones as a hotel can get. One pillow per bed, no extra blankets or towels. Walls were bare. Nobody there to check you in - all done remotely. No coffee maker and nothing open in town to get that first cup in the morning.

For being in a small town, this was a perfect place to stay for the night before driving back to the Golden Circle. This is a no frills place, but safe and convenient. I would stay here again if I needed to stay in this area.
