A beautiful hotel. We stayed in a room with a balcony view, and it was the perfect place to stay the night before catching a flight home. The food at La Fuente restaurant is served buffet style, and some of the dishes were a bit too salty and the juices served at breakfast weren't of the freshly squeezed variety that we enjoyed in other hotels in Guatemala, but the number of dining options in the hotel is wonderful, if a little overpriced. My favorite part about the resort was the garden - a beautiful place to sit during the day or at night.

My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately a deeply disappointing experience. Despite the hotel's high ratings, my visit fell significantly short of expectations. Upon arriving at 1:00 PM, I was aware of the 3:00 PM check-in time, so I went to eat at one of their restaurants to wait till 3pm. However, my room was still unavailable at 3:30 PM. Was told another 15 minutes. I went back at 4:00 PM still not ready told another 15 minutes. My room was not available till 4:30 PM. Subsequently, I experienced a further 25-minute delay in retrieving my luggage from their storage. The most significant issue encountered was the complete lack of hot water. Despite informing the front desk of this problem, they offered no explanation for the outage and were unable to provide an estimated time for resolution. This issue persisted throughout the evening, causing considerable inconvenience. The lack of transparency regarding the hot water issue and the extended delays in room availability and luggage retrieval were unacceptable and significantly impacted my overall stay. I believe that these shortcomings warrant a thorough review of the hotel's operational procedures
