Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities

The general staff is very courteous and helpful. However the office staff for elite I interacted with was a nightmare. Mr.Corporan was extremely helpful and convinced my husband and myself to view elite options. We then sat with the most arrogant and unpleasant lady named Alicia. Myself and my spouse did not even get interrogated this way at our citizenship interview. By the time the manager came to speak to us (very nice gentleman Patrice) we were just over it. Alicia was so aggressive we just simply didn’t want to continue listening. Big shout out to SANDY at the beach bar. He’s the best and makes you feel at home!

Cuando llegamos a la habitación 9316 y 9315 el inodoro parecía tener varios días sin lavar, olía mal y el ventilador del baño no funcionaba, la luz dentro de la ducha tampoco funcionaba bien, la comida en el comedor estaba muy rica pero para ser sincera la variedad antes era mejor. Fuera de eso las dinámicas y show son muy divertidos, la atención del staff es excelente, las piscinas se mantienen limpias y las áreas de alrededor también. Pase un momento agradable con mi familia en el resort.

Best customer service in a hotel in a long time, all tge staff are super friendly, respectful always with a smile, that make me feel like homeb, however the hotel needs renovation , is way too old and outdated, it neededa renovation,quality of the food and drinks can better,

I read a lot of bad reviews about this place. I decided to come with an open mind and heart. Check in was chaotic, i think they should hv someone in charge in the office at all times. My first room was a swim up in building 5. The fan didn’t work. I was told I was going to hv a bottle of champagne for my birthday. Nothing was in my room. An hour later while I was inside they decorated it was awkward. Kinda defeats the purpose to bring after I was in. Then I went to get some food. I thought the buffet was ok. There were a few flies I thought they could try to put fly fans up. Again something proper management could fix. It’s like this resort could be so much better with the right management. When I got back the promised bottle of EXPIRED champagne was in my room. I just laughed bc I was happy to be on vacation and I appreciated the effort. The guys selling the time shares were annoying. Maybe make a wrist band for people who are not interested so they know not to approach kind of like an do not disturb wrist band. Every turn someone yelling at me when I just want to enjoy really sucks. Also management should tell these men to leave single women alone. I can’t count how many times I was asked if I was married and for my number I just wanted to relax not be hounded. I want you to also know if ur a single woman coming u may be offered services u don’t want and didn’t ask for so be careful! Have security keep away beach vendors. Every 5 min someone ask u to buy stuff!!

The front desk customer service was not very good, but a manager helped to turn the experience around. We had some issues (door lock problem, non-working remote, and foliage in the swim up pool); they addressed most things quickly. The specialty restaurants were nice, and the nightly shows were entertaining. The buffet on the weekends was a mad house. I’m not sure that I will return.

Fue nuestra primera visita a Juan Dolio, y basado en nuestras experiencias en otras partes del país, entendemos que este hotel no está a la altura de lo que ofrece la República Dominicana por el precio pagado. El hotel tiene mucho que mejorar en infraestructura y en la calidad de los alimentos que ofrece. Las habitaciones tenían goteras. Pedimos traslado y la nueva tenía incluso más, en el área del baño. Algunas piscinas tenían el agua un poco turbia. En cuanto a la comida, daba la impresión de que se volvía a reponer, especialmente las ensaladas. Incluso el servicio, si se compara con Puerto Plata o Bávaro, tiene muchas oportunidades de mejora.
