The room and the hotel was more like an Airbnb. I never met anyone. There were no detailed instructions. Everything was clearly marked like how to open the front door that is locked 24/7. One person did call me to let me know how to get into the building. They also send an emsil. . The reviews where not up-to-date. There was no breakfast - I skipped it both days The door to the beautiful outdoor roof top with hot tub was locked with no guide on how to find the key or open the door. I would have liked to sit up there in the evening. The room itself was comfortable. the bathtub was superb. The internet was fast. The proximity to eating and shopping was fantastic.

Could be a lot cleaner. Breakfast was just OK. I wouldn't stay there again. Really noisy in the mornings. Lot's of traffic. Staff was just OK. Facility is really old and run down. Definitely needs a remodel. Especially the rooms. Over priced for what you get.

Nice boutique hotel, clean, nice aesthetics, large and nicely furnished room (love the casement windows!). But I arrived on a Saturday evening when there are no staff present, and there was a problem: the remote control for the room’s heater was missing. (The heater can only be operated with the remote control.) There was an emergency number written at the front desk, but it said explicitly, “emergencies only.” I figured lack of heating wasn’t an emergency, not enough to bring someone in on their day off. It was January, but in Haifa it’s not freezing. But it was cold. Anyway the next morning the manager (?) at the front desk was very apologetic when I told her the problem. She said there was supposed to have been a remote on the nightstand; there definitely wasn’t. When I made the reservation I thought there’d be someone there on Saturday evening: the Travelocity description says, “Front desk (24 hours)”, “Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival”. I got a call that Saturday afternoon telling me the code to open the lobby door and where my key would be. (That part worked fine!) Other than that problem with the heating the hotel was great. I still recommend it! But my advice is to try if possible to be sure there will be hotel staff present or at least available when you arrive, at this or any hotel, in case there’s a problem. But I’m sure that most smaller hotels don’t have staff present all the time.
