The house is a real log house made of solid wood beams; a 'Finn Log Cabin' of approx. 80sqm for 4 + 2 people. A pet is of course allowed. The layout consists of a living room with a high ceiling on the roof and a flat screen TV (including satellite channels), open kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine; and an extra bedroom for two exciting ones in the attic with built-in beds. We have had WiFi for 1 year now.
The house was built 15 years ago with 25 cm thick pine beams, without a single nail in the entire structure. The walls and floor are not painted to preserve the natural character. The house stands on a narrow strip of land between two lakes in the middle of the forest in the heart of Småland.
From the kitchen and living room you go to the large terrace with picnic table and garden furniture. From here you have a view over Lake Vägla. Vita See is on the other side of the house. To complete the whole experience, we have a boat in Vagla Lake, and your first firewood is ready!
Vagla is a spot on the map in the forests of southern Småland and easily accessible from all over Northern Europe.
Vagla is 20 km east of the E4 motorway at Markaryd. The distance from Hanover is 665 kilometers by car (Cologne 929Km), otherwise Ryan Air fly cheaply from Weeze Airport (DL) to Växjö Airport; just over an hour from our house.
Almost 20 people live in Vagla; all spread out over four farms and three houses. Our house is located in the forest on a piece of land between Lake Vagla and Lake Vita, surrounded by nature but not isolated. Get away from it all but with the XL supermarket, shops and a gas station 20 minutes away.
Enjoy the silence of nature and experience the peace. Everywhere forest, lakes and small villages like Vagla. In winter we even had moose around the house several times! On the small streets in the area, you can regularly see deer, woodpeckers, foxes and ... sometimes encountering a moose.
Would you like something a little different than just forest; go for example. on moose safari in Markaryd, visit the BRIO toy museum in Osby, the Stockhults tea house near Markaryd, the coast and the city of Halmstad or the glass museum in Växjö! All between fifteen minutes and a little over an hour away.
You rent the house from € 500 per week in the low season. In addition, we ask for a contribution for the cleaning fee of € 50 per stay.
ATTENTION PLEASE; We normally only rent from Saturday to Saturday. If you would like other arrival or departure days, please contact us in advance! Thank you very much!
