It was our 3 time in staying at the hatchet inn it was good ,but not its usual standard ,the room above us which was no 3 the occupant decided to go bed at midnight waking us up ,by banging doors running up and down the stairs making a lot noise in the room this went on for 2 hours ,then at 4 am they started being noisy again didnā€™t get much sleep ,it did ruin our stay

A tucked away stay where the noise of silence and occasional birdsong was fantastic. Great hosts all the way from check in, through dinner, plentiful breakfast and check out.

As always, the stay here was excellent with pleasant staff and good food. Will be staying again next month and the only thing I could suggest for improvement would be the shower door and handset in room 6.

Hatchet is 100% worth a visit
This is a beautiful looking old inn, with great food. It is popular with locals and I have stayed 3 times on work trips and will continue to use it in the future.
