We like it, you should too
The hotel has really improved over the last few years. we drive up to Harrogate at least twice a year. We have been in other hotels, but we find the crown best value for money and location etc. staff are polite and professional.

It was an enjoyable stay, with a few hiccups, which the staff sorted to our satisfaction. We've been several times and will definitely stay there again. The location is spot on. The hotel is clean and comfortable.

Location good for where we wanted to visit. Room dreadful paid for double but think it was a comfort room . Paint on one wall was torn off and it was freezing cold , with the tiniest radiator I have ever seen . Only suitable for a cloakroom in a house if that!. Cracked tile near bath and room so small the door when opened was millimetres from sink. Grout around tiles black in places. Bed was rock hard pillows awful. Beer festival in hotel to which no one mentioned beforehand. Room was at front of hotel so very noisy, as were the other guests on our floor . Woken up twice by loud conversations. Breakfast looked okay but tasted rubbish as overcooked or had been left under lights too long. No one asked us if we enjoyed our stay when checking out. You could tell they were not interested. Hotel inspector would not be impressed. Shame as it’s a lovely old building from outside.

Got the noisiest guests next to me (225). All night coming in and out of their room, shouting in their room, talking in the hallway. I didnt sleep a wink!

Lovely, classic and classy hotel.
Lovely old hotel in the middle of Harrogate. Right next to the baths and other tourist spots. Despite there being a beer festival downstairs, on the second floor, we slept soundly. Staff were all very professional and lovely and the overnight parking is reasonable. Would recommend

We had a very enjoyable stay. The restaurant was good. However, we would make the following comments about our room, 258, that perhaps you should note: The central heating did not work. We requested and were provided with a plug in oil filled radiator which went some way to improving matters. The bathroom did not appear to have extract ventilation and the window seemed seemed stuck so no ventilation which is totally unacceptable in 2024. I would mention this room was an Executive Room which makes matters worse. The second TV in the sitting lounge area did not work. It would seem more attention is needed to maintenance.

Pretty Good
Plenty of sun beds and doesn’t feel crowded. Adults only pool us brilliant. Breakfast pretty good - great omelettes and poached eggs cooked to order, great selection of breads, but the rest a little disappointing especially the yoghurts and fruit section. I wish there had been more fresh fruits chopped rather than tinned fruit.

Set of room was careless, dressing table in wrong place for plugs and also had a board down the back so had to physically pull it away from wall to plug hair dryer in. Settee was in bay window when a table and 2 chairs would have been better for guests to look out of the window. Settee would have been better where dressing table is and dressing table moved to wall that had a plug socket half way up the wall so you could plug hair dryer in without having to manhandle the table. Because this was not done when putting furniture in the room shows a lack of care for guests.

Looking a bit tired but still a lovely clean hotel. Pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Also although I had paid the £20 each for the meal upgrade my husband was asked for it again on departure lucky I was there and could prove I had already paid

Obviously an old building with lot's of character. Excellent location, could not fault anything. Only had breakfast which was very nice. Dog friendly which suited us as we could take our little pooch with us.
