Welcome to the Best Deal on Lake Hartwell! I don’t think that you will be disappointed in the effort that we have put in to making this lake house the best property for your next getaway. We’ve tried to think of everything you might want, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy! We have decided to invite guest to share our home.

When you arrive at the highly sought after Reed Creek Community, you will be happy to know that this house is located off the road in a secluded 1.5-acre lot.
This home has a lot of southern charm that you will enjoy. There are many antiques throughout the house. There are rocking chairs on the front porch. When you open the door you will find hardwood floors almost throughout the complete main level and basement. The main level of the house is host to vaulted ceilings and 18 foot stacked rock fireplace with gas logs. The floor plan is a very open one with the great room and dining room sharing one large room that flows openly to the custom made kitchen. The master suite is also located on the main level. It has a full sized bathroom with a garden tub/shower. Step out the of the Great Room and Dining Area to the back porch with a bead board ceiling, relaxing porch swing, and ceiling fans.

Take the staircase from the main level to the second level where you will find a bedroom that has two twin beds. There is also another bedroom that has a full size bed. One of the most unique features of this house is the upstairs bathroom. It has an antique chrome footed tub and pedestal sink.

If you take the staircase to the basement you will find a very open living room area there as well. The basement also hosts a very spacious queen bedroom and a seperate full bathroom with a slate tiled shower and floors. The laundry room is also located in the basement.

We have an air mattress, water floats, and life jackets for guests staying with us.

From the basement door you can walk out onto a large concrete patio. From here you can follow the gently sloped lot to the covered boat dock. The dock is empty so you may bring your boat or rent one while you are visiting. If you need help renting a boat please just let us know. The cove that this house is located in is a very quiet one, but yet it is just yards away from open water. This house is located where Reed Creek and the Tugalo River meet. It is a perfect location on Lake Hartwell. It is located on great water and just minutes to downtown Historic Hartwell.

Great location for a family vacation
Beautiful waterfront home, perfect for 3 families (6 adults and 3 kids). Three living levels allowed separate space for each family and large modern common kitchen, living, dining area was great for communal cooking, dining and family game nights. The kitchen was well appointed, with double sinks and double ovens and a nice dishwasher. The bathrooms had a good supply of high grade towels. The boat dock was perfect for swimming and fishing and for docking the pontoon boat we rented for our stay. There were two fire pits that we wish we had time to use and would be great for cooking s’mores and watching the sun set over the water. Our dogs loved the water and being able to run in the large yard. Being able to bring them was a real bonus for us. The owner was very responsive to inquiries and provided great directions and alerted us to a couple of problem areas to expect. Her fiancé even went above and beyond to check on whether there were any children’s life jackets available, which was much appreciated. We could only rate the cleanliness as a 3 however. We were told ahead of time to expect some dead bugs due to a recent pest control visit. We did not encounter any dead ones but did find a number of live millipedes and spiders on the main level. The counters and surfaces were clean and dust free but the walls and areas under the furniture need closer attention as well as the air vent in the upstairs bathroom. One electrical outlet had a burn mark which was disconcerting to see. Laundry from what appeared to be previous renters was left in the laundry room and could have easily been put out of sight in a nearby closet. Not a cleanliness issue, but a knob on the stove and the selection knob on the washing machine were broken. We were able to find a way to select the wash type we needed and were appreciative of the full size washer and dryer but could not get the stove burner to work. Overall, our experience was great and we had a great time. It was a lovely setting and with a little more attention to some small details we would have rated this 5 stars in all areas. None of the minor issues we encountered would keep us from returning! If we get a chance to return to Lake Hartwell we will certainly book again. It met our needs perfectly.

Had a great time with my family. Private lot in a cove, nice dock. Kitchen stocked well. Nice deck off the back and covered patio. Pretty antiques. Loved the fireplace in the den. On the main level. Some nice things about the house but some issues also. - shower in basement had 2 large cracks around the drain in the fiberglass so when you stand on it to shower, they gap open allowing a lot of water to run underneath. It felt very spongy standing on it like there was water damage underneath. Also some mildew/mold around the outside tile where it may also be leaking. There is a moldy smell in the basement living area. We didn’t use the shower after the first night so this left only one shower for 10 of us. The claw foot tub upstairs is pretty but not practical so it was only used by the 2 young kids. - Bed in the basement uncomfortable. Fireplace in the basement didn’t have gas logs so it was not useable. Larger bed in all bed rooms would be great. More furniture in the basement bedroom like night stands, a dresser, and a TV. There was one nightstand and a chair for the other nightstand. The 2nd floor bedroom needed a better TV and a nightstand. -The back yard needs some upkeep. Overgrown around the lake and mostly dirt. The path to the dock is dirt/mud. The pictures online look neat and cleared off. It is too overgrown at the shore for the kids to walk in and out of the lake. - Needs a good deep cleaning inside and out. There were a lot of large spider webs in the outside windows. Needs a good pressure washing. Doesn’t appear to have had any outside TLC in a while. - Need another trash can up at the road. There were 2 but with a lot of renters in and out, it was piled outside the trash cans when we arrived in Tuesday. We had to put additional bags outside of the trash cans also which allowed animals to dig in and leave trash all over the roadside. With some updates and a few repairs, this place would be great. You can definitely tell it is a rental. As it is right now I would give it a 3 overall.

Fathers Day weekend get together
Had a great time even though it rained. Plenty of room for a big family and extended family. Three levels so you can split off and have alone time when needed. Back decks have ample seating with view of lake and boat dock. Parking is no issue with the long driveway, 6 cars and still had room for more if need be. Will definitely look to rent again in the future.

Great Stay @ Lake House Property
Our family enjoyed the stay at your Lake House. The property accommodated everyone. We enjoy the lake view, evening walk around the neighborhood. Excellent Thanksgiving Vacation!
This house and dock were perfect for our Thanksgiving family getaway. The kitchen is large and very nice- perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner prep. And the dock was amazing- we kayaked and hung out there each day, then headed back to the house for puzzling and gaming each evening. The outdoor fire pit was great for s’mores and hot dogs. Mishea was always available immediately for questions! She was great. We are already planning to book another week this summer!

Two families (9 people and 2 dogs) got away one last time before winter and the holidays. While the house showed some signs of wear and tear it was nothing serious and didn’t diminish our stay whatsoever. Plenty of space and beds for everyone. Would love to try this place out sometime in the summer when we could really use the lake, but even still there are nearby state parks and hiking trails that were fun.

Nice house for large groups
We had a wonderful visit with our family late July in this perfectly located home. Plenty of space and they allowed us to bring our dogs too. We rented a pontoon from the nearby Marina and enjoyed the dock. Only giving 3 stars due to the extremely uncomfortable bedding and the fact it needed a deep cleaning; not just a surface cleaning. With a new coat of washable paint and a little more TLC in between renters this could be a 5 star home. The mattress’ were so uncomfortable even for my kids that we had to go an buy mattress toppers. My oldest son left a night early to go home and sleep in his own bed because he was so miserable. These weren’t just firm mattress’ but squeaked loudly with every turn and you could feel the springs in your ribs. I pointed this out to the owner who said she would reimburse is but 3 months later, a missing receipt I had left on the counter, and I have yet to be reimbursed. The master duvet had bodily fluids on it and would not fit in washing machine so we had to go buy extra blankets as there were none; and the kitchen appliances had not been cleaned out from previous guests crumbs, splatters, and spills which probably contributed to the roaches we saw in the kitchen. The extra “bedroom” with twin beds has no central AC and the fan was broken so we had to buy a fan too. I would suggest a new cleaning lady or charging renters for not following exit instructions. Overall this house met our needs, was affordable and the owner allowed us to rent a partial week which I appreciated. It’s located on a quite cove and the water is just stunning. Lots of potential here with a little elbow grease and quality mattress’.

Accomodated 8 easily. Newer dock that easily accomodated a pontoon rental and where we caught some small fish. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and utensils. Plenty of sitting room and we used the pull out couches for beds. A small market only a couple miles away. Would do it again in this quiet retreat.

Great lake house
The home was lovely and the Owner was very helpful in answering our questions. We had all the comforts of home including appliances we needed to bake when the rain started. We rented a boat from Harbor Light Marina which was a close 15 min boat ride to the house. However, by car ,the marina was about a 25 minute drive and there are alot of winding roads to get to the property so bring plenty of food/supplies since there are not alot of close stores nearby! All in all it was a great weekend!

Great Labor Day Weekend
Our group of friends had an amazing time for our long vacation weekend at the home. Plenty to do out on the lake and the home was the perfect size for our group of 9. Well stocked kitchen for our group meals and plenty of space for us to dine and hang out. Very quiet end of the cove made for a great time. Weekend getaway
We stayed at this property for a weekend getaway to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The location was great, communication was great, interaction with housekeeping was exceptional. The house was the perfect size and layout for multiple families. The dock was perfect and located in a peaceful cove but seconds away from the main channel. It truly was a relaxing getaway. If you want to be picky, the only problem was the outdoor cushions. Highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back!

The location is in a beautiful cove. Safe for swimming. Owner was responsive and easy to get in to touch with. Kitchen was well stocked, had everything you needed. We were going to grill one night but decided not to because grill was not clean. Over all the house was not clean. You can tell it is a rental and well used. This is not the owners issue, people need to take care of other people things.

This is a very nice property and had everything we needed for a fun family getaway. It’s easy to swim off the dock and is in a peaceful location. It was not a busy weekend in the cove but was great for us.

We have stayed at this lake cabin several years in a row. We love the location, the number of bed rooms, the short walk to a great dock (but pretty muddy and slick when it rains) wish it had a better drive way parking pad since its sloped and gravel. plenty of room to park boat trailers at the upper end of drive way. new A/C unit covers all 3 floors well.

the house was just as described great location in a quiet cove with a beautiful covered boat dock . the only issue was that we have a large 30 foot boat and the trailer would not fit down the long gravel driveway but there is a parking area for your trailer at the beginning of the driveway so it was no problem we will definitely reserve this location again !! ps the lake is not very busy so the boating /skiing /tubing was perfect .

Perfect for multiple families!
We stayed for our yearly lake vacation which consists of 2 grandparents and two families with children under the age of 5. The size and layout of the house made it perfect for spending time together and also having separate areas for time apart. There was also plenty of outdoor living space for the guys and girls to have their own areas. The dock was perfect for our two boats with room to fish and play. The owner was very quick and friendly when responding to any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back again!
