Ghost Canyon Getaway Main House

Beautiful quiet getaway in the Black Hills, located only 10 minutes from Custer State Park, 25 minutes from Mt Rushmore, 35 minutes from Rapid City, SD. Lots of hiking, fishing, wild life and beautiful country. Guided horse back rides offered by J & F Tails and Trails next to the property.

Rustic home built in 1920 with a log "great room" added in the 1980's from local trees. The great room was recently remodeled in 2023. Property will sleep 9 (2 queen beds, 1 full, a twin trundle and a roll a way), has 2 bathrooms and plenty of room to relax.

The house has a stove and oven in it and there are plenty of options for cooking. The kitchen has a kitchen table, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, sink, and outside BBQ with a side burner. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, plates, pans and utensils for cooking if you want to cook in instead of eating out.

The unit has heat and window air conditioning units, free internet, and satellite TV. We provide bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. The rooms are cleaned when you check out and a one-time cleaning fee is charged. If you need additional towels or bed linens during your stay, just let us know.

The property has a common fire pit for all guests enjoyment and a basketball hoop for the kids to burn off their energy. The house has a private fire pit in the backyard for your enjoyment.

Perfect Getaway
We loved the location of this home! It was an easy drive to Mt Rushmore, Custer, and Rapid City. The kitchen is nicely stocked for all your needs. The view from the patio is beautiful and we loved seeing the horses right door. With 8 people the bathroom downstairs is a little tight but we made it work. We would definitely stay again!

Stunning Home and Property
Our stay at Ghost Canyon Getaway was perfect! It far exceeded any expectations I had. The home had plenty of space for our family of six. The home is beautiful, was well stocked with basic necessities, and very clean upon arrival. Our children loved watching the horses in the pastures, the firepit in the backyard, and the yard games. Our favorite part of this home, though, was the views! The views are incredible! We hope to visit and stay in this home again!

Beautiful property, clean, comfortable
Enjoyed the area immensely and the house was very well kept, clean, and comfortable. Bigger beds woulds he the only improvement, but the beds and furniture and bedding were still very nice and comfortable.
