The long weekend we spent at Rose’s Place was incredible.we had big plans to go kayaking and to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway nearby, but as soon as we checked in for the weekend, our plans changed. We brought food with us so that we could cook, so we didn’t leave the place again until check-out time on Monday! It was marvelous.
The front porch and it’s rocking chairs are where I spent a good bit of time with a good book in hand - that was when, of course, we weren’t by the pond fishing while our dog, Jet, who we were able to bring along, enjoyed some wonderful time basking in the sun.
Rose’s Place was pristine and had all of the comforts of home - with small touches like blankets for sitting outside on the rockers on chilly nights and coffee for each morning.
Kathy was such a wonderful host. She checked in with us to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed and went out of her way to make us comfortable. While out by the pond, I had A run-in with a bee and the bee won. Kathy happened to be at the property at the time cleaning another unit and she saw that I had been stung. She immediately went to the store and bought spray in case we ran into any more bees and also, so thoughtfully, also brought me some ointment for my sting. I have never had another host - and I have stayed at many VRBO rentals - be so thoughtful and accommodating.
Our weekend at Rose’s Place was perfect and we are already looking at our calendar for when we can visit again!
