This charming villa has been updated recently: new paint, furniture, master bathroom with large walk-in travertine shower, and a 55" Smart 4K UHD TV with Netflix subscription and still a 2 minute walk to the beach!

When you arrive at the villa you immediately feel like you are in a charming beach cottage with the new beadboard ceilings, crown molding and shaker style kitchen. This very bright villa is located in the popular complex within Palmetto Dunes called The Moorings. You can't get closer to the best beach in Hilton Head without paying ocean front prices. Within The Moorings Unit #31/32 you will be located in a quiet section on the end with a nice view of the landscape, directly adjacent to the amenities you will find at The Hilton. It is a simple walk to the beach and you will not need to cross or walk down any busy streets. A few steps through the oceanfront Beach Villa complex and your feet are in the sand! This comes in handy when you want to come back home during the day for a snack or break from the sun.

The layout of the villa offers a lot of privacy having the guest bedroom located off the entry way and the 2nd bedroom adjacent to the living room. Each bedroom has it own en suite bathroom. There is a bonus 3rd full bath located in the foyer which also contains the washer and dryer. This is convenient for guests who use the pullout sofa because they can have their own full bathroom as well.

The living room and bedrooms all have HDTV flat screen TVs and there is a DVR in the living room with access to Netflix. You can record your favorite shows to watch while relaxing after a fun day in the sun!

There are 2 decks located off the living room which can be accessed from each bedroom as well. One of the decks offers a view of the pool so you can check up on your kids swimming while you make dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. The other deck is very private, if you prefer to just relax with a good book and a glass of wine. Because this is a second floor unit the decks are not covered, which bring a lot of natural light into the unit. New patio furniture has been purchased with a table and chairs with cushions and an umbrella. The perfect place for a nice breakfast or dinner al fresco!

The villa is located within the gated community of Palmetto Dunes which is home to 3 world-class golf courses (Robert Trent Jones, Arthur Hills and George Fazio) and the award-winning Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center. You can walk over to the Outfitters to rent your bikes, kayaks, fishing gear or canoes to use through the 11 mile lagoon.

Biking is very popular in Hilton Head because of the numerous miles of biking paths and wide beaches with packed sand. You can also walk to the General Store to get your daily newspaper and a delicious breakfast sandwich. They offer some grocery selections and convenience foods as well as beer, wine, spirits, etc. Shelter Cove Marina is only a mile away and an easy bike ride. Fireworks are shown every Tuesday night during the summer months where you will also find live entertainment. The Dunes Buggy free shuttle is also available to take you to the shopping or entertainment in Shelter Cove during the busier season.

With this villa being centrally located on the island you can quickly access all of the local attractions. Stopping by the Dunes House restaurant on your way home from the beach for a cold beer, burger or fish tacos will be the perfect end to your day. The convenience of everything will make your vacation that much more relaxing.

Very nice condo. Fully equipped clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach and beach bar. Awesome beach. Close to amenities and restaurants. Nice neighbours, good parking and Palmetto Dunes is a very nice and well maintained resort. This is our 4 th stay in this resort, second at the Moorings and would be very happy to come back. Minor inconvenience with sliding shower doors in main bathroom. Otherwise excellent accommodation. Thank you so much for a wonderful beach vacation.

A great place to stay in Palmetto Dunes!
The condo was spacious and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen - even a griddle! Nice separation between the two bedrooms, and we loved having 3 bathrooms. Very short walk to the beach and an quick bike ride to pickleball and general store. Easy communication. We enjoyed our time here.

Just book it! You won’t regret it!
If you’re interested in booking this rental, just do it!! You won’t regret it, I promise. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. I’ve never been SO pleased with a rental like I have with this one. We have stayed in Palmetto Dunes 3 times so far, and this rental is by far my favorite. The entire week of our stay, the place smelt and felt clean. The housekeeper needs a raise! Lol. It’s in a great location if you have small kids. The pool is in the back yard and it’s a super short walk to the beach. The owners are quick to respond if you need them. The air works wonderful. Plenty of space. We are already planning our next stay here! Can’t wait to visit again!

Owner was prompt with response and correcting issues. We had both plumbing and A/C issues that were fixed within a day. Location is great and close to beach. Unit is on 3rd floor. The hotel next door is noisy with early morning deliveries at 6 am so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep in. Unit has everything you need and is very close to pool. You may want more towels if you have more than 4 guests and bring extra toilet paper.

Wonderful condo!
We enjoyed our stay here! The Moorings is a great location - a short walk to the beach, the Dunes House, and the General Store. The layout is nice and spacious. This unit was updated and clean. The beds were comfortable. We had no issues during our stay other than the dryer did not seem to dry very well. Hope to stay here again in the future :)

Wonderful beach accessible condo!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It continues to be clean, well maintained and extremely convenient to everything in Palmetto Dunes. The owners were very responsive to questions, and check in/out processes were seamless. Although this is a dog friendly unit (we did not have a pup with us this time), the unit was free of any evidence of dog hair, etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Terrific Condo/Very Responsive Owners
Had a fantastic time at this condo. Condo was very well stocked with dishes, Pots and pans, citlery, etc. Also had both a drip coffee maker, and a Keurig, which was nice. Condo has an excellent view of the pool, and is very quiet. Its a split design with one bedroom (two queens) being to the left of the entrance, and one Bedroom (King) being off the living room. bathrooms were nice, with the King having a walk in shower. The condo is on the top floor, so you do have 3 flights of stairs to manage, but not an issue for us. Overall a really nice condo in a great area. Loved that is was a short walk to the Dune house and the beach.

Charming, spacious, comfortable. Three full baths. Only real complaint. Heat pump dryer that doesn't dry, even though it looks brand new. If you have towels, jeans or any large loads you will need to run to the laundromat.

This is the perfect villa!
Readers, I’m not sure what you look for in a villa when you want to get away from it all. I look for these things: -location -dog friendly -outdoor space with comfy furniture -well stocked kitchen -comfortable beds and pillows -cleanliness This villa had it all! We couldn’t be happier with our choice to lodge here for 2 weeks! We would stay here again!

We stayed for a week over New Year's week. We had a little issue when checking in and David was not only incredibly responsive, but he went above and beyond to find a solution and made everything right. I have neve had such a positive "customer service" experience with a property owner. We visit Hilton Head a few times a year and we always rent a property when we stay. I have read horror stories about villas that are run through large rental property management groups who are difficult to get ahold of when there are problems. I was happy to rent from David and his family and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. The property is the quintessential Hilton Head rental. The space was comfortable and was updated nicely too. The location is close to the beach and within walking, biking, or driving distance to many of the key attractions on the island. We enjoyed our stay!

Close to all the action!
Our family booked one condo while we had friends who were in two other condos within the same complex. It was so convenient to be in our own space but only steps away from our friends. One major difference from our condo in comparison to the other two that we explored (where our friends stayed) is that ours was more worn. Because pets can stay there? Possibly the reason! The rug was worn, the front door had been chewed and was clunky, there were bite marks and chew marks all over when you looked closely at the space compared to the pictures. And ours was the most expensive one. However, it still felt clean! I think in the future, it would be nice to offer paying for the entry fee as other condo owners do. The master bedroom has one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! And the set up with kids was PERFECT 👍 Being close to the beach and Dune House was CLUTCH! The ice maker was great, having a Keurig was great… really nice place to stay!

The location of this property was great. The interior had stained chairs, broken front door, kitchen plugs coming out of the wall, filthy windows and dirty furnace filter. Sliding doors to patio was broke. Patio furniture was rusted and had dirty cushions.

Great location
We really enjoyed this location in The Moorings villas. This unit is on the top floor, with one of its two balconies having afternoon shade from nearby trees. The other balcony overlooks the pool. It was a short, 5 minute walk to the beach. The unit was furnished nicely, bed was super-comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked.
